In their own words
We moved on Aug. 28th, 2019. We only moved 2.4 klms. We had a five ton and two men to do the move. I have finally opened the last box. Well, I have never in all my moves had so much damage. I have packed and moved over two dozen times. I have been hired by other people to pack and move them. I have never seen so many broken items. I no longer have my individual blown glasses, platters, casserole dishes, etc.. Every box seemed to have been dropped or slamed into the truck space.
Phoned for a quote last week, man quickly got the quote and so I told him I would call him to confirm. So I called back to confirm but someone else answered and knew nothing about the order and confirmation. After having to answer all the same questions he told me the quote would be ready by Monday which was a few days away. I called on Monday and a different staff spoke this time who again didn’t know anything about the order but said would get back to me that day and she never did. Would not recommend.

The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
I recently hired Affordable Canadian Movers for my residential move, and I couldn't be more pleased with their service! From the moment I reached out for a quote, their team was incredibly responsive and professional. The pricing was transparent and competitive, giving me confidence that I was getting excellent value for my money. On moving day, the crew arrived promptly and were incredibly efficient.
Initial impressions of A.C.M. were positive: they were available when I needed them (within a limited timeframe), at a reasonable rate, worked hard and got the job done. With any move, a few items are invariably going to get damaged no matter how carefully they are packed, and a few did - nothing major. I was called away at one point during the move and left the movers to unload things into my storage unit. Unfortunately, a few items were stored in such a way they were damaged.
UPDATE: I just used Affordable Canadian Movers for the second time and the service was just as good as our first move. The pandemic caused my wife and me to change our plans and we have moved back from Charlottetown to Saint John. Of course, our first call was to Steven Rush at Affordable Canadian Movers. Steven again quoted me a fantastic fixed price for the move and two weeks of storing our belongings.
THE PERFORMANCE IS STILL FANTASTIC!! I first used Affordable Canadian Movers five years ago. They just completed a second move for me, and the whole experience was excellent. Steven was my main contact and he provided timely, clear, and reliable communication throughout the whole process. The moving team of Ronnie and Larry were great to work with. They treated my belongings the same way they would treat their own.
