We hired Movers NL for our recent move within the metro area based on the reviews online. Unfortunately, our experience did not match the reviews. Our move consisted of 2 bedrooms, an office, living room, dining room, living room and rec room. All furniture was disassembled before their arrival. It took them 7 hours to do our move.
We had quite a bad experience with these movers unfortunately. They were nice guys and very friendly but they has NO CLUE what they were doing. Could not get the hinges off an old cabinet. Put the hardware for a bookshelf in a drawer which then fell out all over the place on the floor of the truck in the move. We had ten pieces of furniture and they recommended a giant truck that we didn’t use even 1/4 of. They had come recommended and we were very disappointed.
This past weekend on Saturday the 28th of February I hired Movers NLInc, this was the third time I had hired the company to move me in less then a year, first of the driver what not confirmed in driving the truck which was way to big for the job (a small two bedroom with no big appliances, I had them last year move me from Holyrood to CBS and the price was 297$ but this time moving from Fagans road in CBS to Foxtrap access road which is about a tow minute drive and they were going to charge me 444$ ,which I didn’t…
It took 7 hours to move two bedrooms, a living room, and rec room to a new address less than 8 kms away and they charge by the hour. Everything was already disassembled and nothing moved other than furniture. There was also damage to my home and my furniture. Do not trust these guys, they are under new management now and are not the same. Also beware that if you leave negative reviews on social media, they will block you.

*** DANGER, DANGER *** I moved on April 1st, 2023. I was taken for a ride. I paid $300 in cash and $804 on a credit card. I gave him my email which he stated that I would receive a receipt in my email. Never came. I also lost a case of carnation milk, which we all know is expensive. I also lost more food items along with other items. How is this possible? STAY AWAY FROM THESE CON MEN. *** DANGER, DANGER ***

Friendly and mannerly management and movers, but I would suggest more efficiency training for staff in general, including the art of backing up trailers - as time is money. The move took many more hours than was necessary.

First they said $200 an hour but charged me $210 an hour. Took them 4hrs when it should have been 3hrs. Just standing in their truck talking. I would not hire them again. Very poor service.
Would not recommend this company In fact 1 star is too kind. I asked for a quote for a move and the person I spoke with was too dismissive and disinterested to even discuss. 100 percent fail

I'm a bit late on posting this review, but I hired Movers NL to move from my old house to a new one back in September. I found the whole experience to be great! Mithun was a great communicator, gave me a very straightforward and reasonable quote (he quoted an hourly rate, not a wishy washy total that depends on all kinds of factors that can change on the day-of, like most other quotes I got). We had planned to rent a truck and do the move ourselves, but decided kind of last minute to hire a moving company instead.

Movers NL helped me move from St. John’s to Holyrood and they were absolutely outstanding. I honestly wish there was a better word than amazing. The crew was friendly, respectful, and worked at a steady, efficient pace the entire time. They communicated well, solved problems as they came up, and worked extremely well together as a team. This review includes info on three times we used Movers NL. My mother moved out of my apartment and used their services at the end of May. Walter and Sergii showed up at the appointed time. In very quick order they had her belongings loaded and headed off to her new address about 2 kms away. Both Walter and Sergii were professional and friendly. My mother sends very positive feedback and would recommend NL Movers.
