They did a move for my mom at Sea Crest in Carlsbad, CA last week. I can't really explain how they thought it was okay to ABANDON my mother at her new residential care facilities without half of her belongings, all because (and completely out of my 89 year old mothers control) their elevators were broken that day and the 2 young men there just refused to use the stairs.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. I'm truly sorry your mother's move didn't meet the standard we set with the other 39 successful relocations in this community project. … More
Movers refused to come back to finish a job at a residential care facility in a timely manner. They left a vulnerable senior citizen to be without their belongings because they refused to the stairs to finish the move, the only solution offered was, "we'll come back in a week to finish". I would not trust them with another move. Please do better for the sake of our elders

The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
Christine Bowman, Dawn Miskulin, and the entire Silver Linings team, owned and operated by Jami Shapiro, provided an outstanding experience for our clients' move to Redwood Terrace. Despite the complexity of coordinating an interstate move alongside another move management company, every detail was handled with professionalism, compassion, and exceptional attention to detail by them. Our clients repeatedly shared how beautiful their new home looked and how quickly they felt comfortable and at home.
I can’t recommend this company enough! From the very beginning, the entire process was so easy and completely stress-free. Communication was excellent, scheduling was simple, and the team was punctual every step of the way. …
We are grateful for your trust and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We hope being more organized will help your family feel a little less stressed.
Jamie Shapiro and her team at Silver Linings Transitions provide an invaluable service for older adults and families navigating the challenges of downsizing and moving. What sets Jamie apart is her understanding that these transitions are not simply logistical—they are deeply personal and often emotional experiences.
We so appreciate your support and recognition for our work. Thank you for taking the time to share.
I don’t know where to begin. Christine and Dawn at Silver Linings Transitions were so talented and knowledgeable as to what I needed to have done and exactly how the move from my home of many years to a senior living complex in the town next door needed to proceed. They handled the entire project from start to finish. My part was to decide what I wanted to take with me and what to leave behind.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience working with our team. We feel so fortunate to be able to work with clients like you who are so appreciative. We hope you continue to enjoy your new home.
