In their own words
The movers were great and I had called Gabe the owner about my garage refrigerator being broken and not working properly. I had full insurance coverage and he said to call my attorney and it’s not covered. Horrible customer service on his part.
My bosses were marked very fragile and the boxes were crushed never in my life I experienced anything like this before….. Never got a confirmation call for delivery date and time they just showed up…. Horrible!!!!!!!!!
Hi Catena, You are mistaking us for another company. We have no record of moving you. Please contact us at [phone removed]
Update (November 2025): Following this experience, I have filed formal complaints with both the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs (Log #28304700.OCP) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA Case #00252525) for further review. All documentation, including photos, text messages, and emails, has been submitted to both agencies. My intention is not to harm the business but to ensure accountability and prevent other families from experiencing similar stress and loss.
We are truly sorry to hear how upsetting this experience has been for you and your family. We understand your frustration, and we want to assure you that we never take situations like this lightly.
My mother experienced the old bait and switch. We called Gabriel to move one and a half rooms of furniture out and into the living room in order for the wood floors to be repaired. We asked for Affordable to come one day, move the furniture and then the following week come back and move the furniture back once the wood floors had dried. We were quoted a price for both days. When we received the contract, we noticed only 1 date was listed and not the return date.
As a local realtor I would NOT recommend!!! They showed up at 10am for drop off when our closing wasn’t until 2pm and our contract says drop off after 2... then they CHARGED us for those hours, an extra $600!!! On top of us paying for 4 guys and they only sent 3. Now they are not answering our phone calls and the man Gabriel blamed us for his mistake! Terrible business operation and not worth anyone’s referral!!
FAKE REVIEWS (IMO). This owner just lost his crew a 2 hour job with a 3 person crew for 750 plus 180 tip. I was about to hire YOU, you're were NOT hiring ME!! Please don't get it mistaken, you need some common sense and humility in your life.
The majority of the stuff moved was handled fine and no complaints. However, both my mom and I weren’t sure where the vine was and I got a little anxious since it was the thing I cared about. Absolutely shredded and I should’ve listened to …
Hi Christopher. Was this move contracted under a different name? We don't have any records moving anyone recently matching your first name and last initial. Please give us a call at [phone removed]
Asked direct questions about the cost of my move, was told the price is $142 an hour and my move would take 5 hours in the same town...how did they come up with over $1k...when I questioned the staff members rate/math he responded this is …

In their own words
I recently used Affordable Moving for transporting my household items from New Jersey to Maryland. Jason handled the move end to end flawlessly. The three crew members, Martin, Manual and Tony, were fantastic. They were prompt, courteous and efficient. This was a large move and worked out perfectly. I strongly recommend this company.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - 10 OUT OF 10 They took excellent care with my items. They wrapped everything well so there wouldn't even be the slightest ding on anything. I always worry that workers choose to move slower when they are paid hourly, but they didn't. While the wrapping was time consuming, they seemed to go as fast as they could. Also, my dog barks at everyone who comes into the house but didn't at the two men who moved the furniture, I think that says something.
I reached out to Affordable Moving and quickly connected with Gabe to inquire about a move on fairly short notice. He provided a reasonable quote and issued a contract and COI that same day, as promised. The move team — Ray, Juan & Felix — were exceptional and efficient taking great care of the items being delivered to two locations. I can’t thank them enough for a job well done and would definitely recommend to others.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review Mark.
I highly reccomend Affordable moving and storage company. They were professional, friendly and fast. I was amazed at how carefully they treated my furniture. Also they finished the job earlier than anticipated and I was charged less than the given quote. I would hire this company again in a heartbeat.
