In their own words
Excellent service in tuning my piano. Prompt, communicative, courteous, informative, and thorough in every detail. My piano sounds wonderful now!
We recently bought an acoustic piano at DC Pianos. We couldn't be happier with our purchase! Diana was so helpful and accommodating from the very first time I corresponded with her via email, until the time we went to their showroom in Berkeley so that my daughter can try out the acoustic pianos they had available that was within our budget and needs. Once my daughter was able to decide the exact piano she liked, we told Diana the piano we decided to purchase.
DC Piano Company did a nearly complete restoration of my 1927 Mason-Hamlin grand piano. It was last worked on in the 1970s. I inherited the piano from my father who bought it in 1952. I learned to play on this same piano at the age of 5 so it has tremendous sentimental value for me. Matteo Crudo did a superb job replacing all the strings, pin block, all the action parts, and refinished the sound board. To my pleasant surprise he also polished the keys. I can’t tell you how amazingly beautiful my piano sounds.
I happened to be walking past and noticed this place. They have a large selection of pianos and do repairs. What caught my eye though were guitars hanging in the window, as I'm a guitarist. Apparently they are a dealer for Yamaha acoustics. Given their out of way location and their name, I have to wonder if they sell many, but I got to try a variety of guitars I only knew from reviews, all from that brand. It's the best selection of Yamaha acoustic guitars I've seen in any store.
