I want to relate an exceptionally TERRIBLE experience with Montclair Movers. Roughly a month ago, I contracted with them to do a move between two houses in Livingston. They sent half the capacity (3 men 1 truck instead of 6 men 2 trucks), took TWICE AS LONG, caused IMMENSE DAMAGE, took my Grand Piano away and kept it for 2 days, lost or stole a black duffel bag with valuable items.
You hired another Montclair Movers which is ran by a scammer. I am terribly sorry this happened and I am hoping to resolve this fraud soon but it’s a long process with Google and their legal team to investigate and take action. Please do … More
i was told to hire them by a friend so i did and they showed up late and raised the price. workers were very careless with my things as they broke something glass very lazy and unprofessional. will never hire this company again.

Very Unpleasant Experience: While the initial contact/scheduling was professional and pleasant, the actual moving day/ workers were not. 3 men were sent, 1 hung out in the truck, barely helped. They threw my boxes into the new home with no care. Placed boxes upside down, ignored the FRAGILE labels, etc. They broke a huge chunk of wood off a very expensive dresser AND an antique chair. Also, found significant scratches on the furniture. They broke a side table, had to throw it in the garbage.
This was not my company who serviced you. It was a scammer using my information to defraud the public. I am sincerely sorry for your unpleasant experience but it wasn’t with my business so please remove this review. Thank you.

In a panic, I called Montclair movers Saturday morning around 9:00 a.m. where I spoke with Eli. I explained my moving delimma and tight time frame after being stiffed by another company. I needed moving services same day and Eli made that happen on one of the busiest days of the year. Within 3 hours of calling for services, a truck and movers were at my rental property. They handled my belongings with care but, more importantly they provided me with a peace of mind that I'd been missing. Everything went perfectly.
