Horrible experience. We moved from Racine, WI to Charleston, SC. The customer experience was sub-par. Our stuff was delayed and then on the delivery day, I receive a call from the driver that the truck broke down. So our delay turned from disappointment to more disappointment. My correspondence with one of the owners of the company was not understanding and continued to make excuses, without ever taking personal responsibility. He continually make excuses. I would never hire this company for a long-distance move.
One of the worst experiences I have ever had. I used this company as a referral from a very reputable company . I contacted this company to transport my car out of state. First to began the day my car was suppose to be picked up the transporter wanted me to deliver my car to him in a empty parking lot, which I refused to do. #2 when it came time for my car to be picked up the driver had the wrong delivery address and I had to contact the company back.
The crews and the office do not communicate at all. They showed up at wrong time on both days crews blaming the office and the office being unorganized. The crews also dropped our electronics on the ground and left all of their trash(food, drinks, and etc) in each rooms. Just horrible.
Found a hole left in my door as a result of something hitting the door during the move. When confronted about it they said there's nothing they could do. There are plenty of options for movers out there, and this company strongly does not have my recommendation.
The absolute worse customer service. They delivered cabinets for me and called off box numbers to me to mark off that I received, a few were not called off. I marked on sheet which ones, delivery guy called off the numbers and said he had …

Bad customer responsiveness. Required an inconvenient in-person appointment to even give me a price quote although I was ready to provide all weight and other info needed.

We recently chose Otto Nelson Moving for our move from our home of 14 years. We interviewed 4 companies and felt Otto Nelson was the best. We definitely made the right decision! Who can say they honestly enjoyed their moving crew and had fun with them? We can! Our crew of Trevare, Ramon and Nathan were simply the best and we’ve moved quite a bit. They were punctual, professional and cared about making sure our furniture was well protected during the move. We played music and laughed all while working.
Really efficient movers. Fair price and able to work with a flat rate. Kenny and Tevare worked really well and answered any questions I had. Very respectable during the packing and unpacking. Worked well around my dog too.
Recently used Otto Nelson/United to move out of state. Excellent experience. Detailed onsite walkthrough along with helpful recommendations for partial packing opportunities. Well trained packer. Driver was very helpful in explaining the process and communication on delivery information. Moving coordinator routinely checked in to ensure everything was going well. All items during unloading were placed where we needed them without any damage.
These guys were absolutely amazing! Kenny and Vince were extremely kind and did a wonderful job moving my stuff. My only concern was that Otto Nelson quoted 6 hours and the move actually took 10 hours - but I think the virtual quoting might have been the issue there. Other than the difference in quoted time, I had no problems at all and would HIGHLY recommend this company!
