I used this company late last month for an out-of-state move and was really disappointed in the lack of professionalism displayed by a couple of the workers and in much of the packing that was done. Shocked is a better word for what I found when I opened some of the boxes after getting to my destination. In several boxes, they had laid liquids on their side at the top of the box, and some of them leaked all over everything underneath.
Saw one of Sterling Interstate’s moving trucks clogging up the left lane on I-17 into Phoenix for nearly 15 miles this afternoon, refusing to move over and backing up traffic. If this is any indication of how they handle moves—slow, inconsiderate, and oblivious to the people around them—I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Situational awareness matters, whether it’s on the road or with someone’s belongings.

They moved for me from Phoenix to Austin. The amazing part is that I have a delicated jade statue, which has been losing little pieces every time I moved, but not this time. Last time when I moved around Phoenix, I lost quite a few pieces with Not Your Husband Moving although it was only about 30 miles. Well that says a lot about both companies. The move was handled fast, professionally and carefully. I did not have to share a truck with other people, so by the time I arrived in Austin, they were ready to unload.

Ron and his team were great to work with in moving my elderly mom's apartment over 1,000 miles to another state. Great communication, prompt, efficient, very caring to make sure mom was taken care of and stayed in contact while they traveled from state to state. Nanci was very responsive when getting the estimate and setting up the move. Would definitely use Sterling Interstate Moving again. Thanks Ron and Nanci.
Like most people moving just 15 minutes away, my husband and I initially wondered if we could just do it ourselves with help from friends and family. "It couldn't be that bad, right?" Just to see, I spent a day calling around for quotes. Some places wanted nearly $300/hr plus a long laundry list of hidden fees, and I thought there was no way it was worth it. But the last company I called was Sterling Interstate, and wow—what a breath of fresh air.
Top notch experience and very professional. Sterling made the move from AZ to the East Coast easy and stress free. Starting with Nanci answering all our questions and being so helpful with information! Alex, who came to the house to see what was needed and accurately figured out the truck size and gave us a quote in a timely manner. Special shout out to the movers Robert, Rachman and Demarcus the talented “wrapper”. They packed the truck in no time and gave updates each day of the drive across the country.
