I shipped my business inventory from California to Florida on April 25th. I had not received my goods as of June 8th and no idea when it will be delivered. I made many calls to Sterling and must say there customer service was very poor. They never called me back even when they gave me a day and time for the call. They were no help trying to solve the problem.
I chose Sterling Van Lines to move an 135 year old antique bookcase based on reviews and their claims to know how to handle antiques. Big mistake. They basically destroyed it and although they gave me an antique restoration guy to fix it, it will never be the same.
The customer is correct. We do handle a lot of antiques with great success. This one did not go that way, our mover did not pack it properly for transport, it needed very special care because of it's condition and age and we failed to secure it properly.
If I can give this company a zero stars I would. I would not recommend them to anyone. They are inconsiderate and unprofessional. I had them come to my apartment to move my housing items to North Carolina. The estimated time frame was …
Do not use this company as they are unreliable with poor customer service. I scheduled a move for pick up on November 15 and delivery on November 22. I then find out that the truck is in a repair shop on the east coast and they are canceling my move. . I asked Sandie Saxon whether we could change the dates and she indicated a pick up on November 25 and delivery on November 29.I agreed to those dates and she assured me in an email that the furniture would be delivered on November 29.
We are very sorry that this happened. The weather was bad enough to have roads that we had to use for the size of our vehicle closed down. We had no way to get into your area to pick you up. We were willing to come back when it became safe but we were told no, I understand.
I cannot recommend Sterling Van Lines. They lost an antique mirror that I entrusted with them. In addition, I have spoken to four different people that were involved with the move and none have followed up with me. Even when they promise to follow up they never do. I’ve had to initiate a follow up every time. Also, they have not forwarded any claim form nor offered any reimbursement for the loss to me to date. I inherited furniture, including an antique chest of drawers with an attached mirror.
HORRIBLE. I hired them to move my baby grand piano from LA to Wisconsin. Over a year later PART of my piano was delivered. The legs and pedals that they lost eventually turned up in San Francisco and 18 months later my piano was put back …
This customer was a very nice lady and extremely patient and she is right, it was horrible. Many stupid mistakes were made. I have to agree with her, this job wins the prize of worst move we have ever done. Spent a lot of money fixing this but nothing about it was good.

Everyone I dealt with at Sterling Van Lines was courteous and professional, from the person who provided the estimate to the dispatcher to the movers. Their movers showed up on time and worked quickly to move my garage's worth of stuff--including an elliptical machine--into a storage unit. I will definitely use Sterling Van Lines again when I need to move my stuff back out of storage.

It was an honor to serve you, our customers are awesome!
We were a very small load move from Texas to Ohio and it was seamless! From the time that I booked it and until the time my movers arrived, I was informed of dates and times all along the way. The young couple that actually moved the furniture had a real challenge since they were driving an 18 wheeler and my driveway would accommodate a small pick up truck. These careful movers used dollies and muscle and rolled the furniture over a 10th of a mile to place carefully in my new house. I couldn’t have asked for more.
