In their own words
Horrible. We hired professional movers due to a difficult curved staircase. Mike assured me they were professional and experienced. Mike text the morning of the move they'd be 30 mins late. Which turned into 8 hours late. He showed up finally with his young son not a professional experienced mover and our move took until 1am. Mike also yelled at me during the unload. They broke a piece of our furniture and took it promising to repair and return in a week.
Horrible. Hired them to move us to storage unit.. Mike was great on the phone. The movers showed up and 30 minutes into the move the driver says (do you mind if we go pick up my brother to help.i have an aaa meeting I gotta make tonight). So he picks up his brother. There were 3 of them. Slow as turtles. So my wife and I started bringing boxes down to help. I had a brand new fish tank. Told them to be careful.
Mike the owner will NOT take responsibility for any damage. I reached out to him a few times, and no response. My furniture and tempurpeduc mattress was completely drenched in sweat. I figured the least he could do was have my mattress cleaned. I will not be using them again, nor will I be referring them in the future.
My name is Lt Commander Christopher Smith. I have over 22 years of active duty and 20 years with NOAA after retirement from the military. My wife Susan hired this company for our move to Mt Dora. When she realized Mike wanted to use two 25ft trucks, when we only needed one 26ft truck, she canceled the move within days. Our move wasn't scheduled for many weeks due to construction in our new home. Mike told my wife the cancelation fee was $125.

***USE AT YOUR OWN RISK - INCREDIBLY RUDE AND UNRELIABLE*** They were scheduled to move someone today at 9AM. When they didn't show up, he called them multiple times. Around noon, they called him and said they would be there around 1. The only reason I know this is because he called the company I worked for, begging us to take him, as he had chosen this company over ours. We told him we had no one available, but have made arrangements with him.
I requested a quote from this company. They sent someone out who had promised to provide a quote the next day which never happened. Here's the issue. This company's trucks are logoed in a way that make them look like an offshoot of a pawn …
I used them in October this year, moved from a 728 sqft home everything was out as far as most of the small stuff like clothes, shoes, the only thing left honestly to move was 3 dressers, 3 tv’s, two beds only mattresses (no …
I would like to say they did a great job, but they never showed up and never contacted me about being late or having to cancel or otherwise. …

In their own words
Guys showed up on time. Never took a break and stayed off their phones. They were quick and efficient with no time wasted. I had no damage to my properties going in and out nor any damage to my furniture. They broke down all the furniture …
The guys are amazing and quick. Friendly and super communicative. We will for sure be using them again.
I've recommended A-1 Affordable Movers to at least a dozen clients over the past five years and every one of them has been complimentary after the fact. I've found how important it is to have actual employees over subcontractors for this industry, and Mike as a business owner runs a tight ship plus maintains the best crews. I'll continue to refer. Very reasonable, fair prices as well. Much appreciated.
If you are moving you definitely want to call A-1 Affordable Movers. We needed help unloading our 26 ' moving truck which was packed. A.J. and Jeff were excellent at getting the job done. They were polite and hard working until the job was done. They are very reasonably priced.
