My experience with AB Moving Services was one of the most stressful and deceptive moving experiences I have ever gone through. When I initially spoke with Matt, he presented himself in a way that made it seem like he was associated with Budget trucks, which led me to believe I was working with a legitimate moving company connected to Budget. Later on, it became clear that this was not true.

I hired AB Moving for an interstate move, and the experience was a nightmare. • They forced me to pay $500 for a “shuttle fee” that was not in my contract. The truck (a standard 26-ft box truck) could easily park in my neighborhood. They later claimed the fee was for “Los Angeles to Santa Clara transfer,” which is just their internal logistics — not something a customer should be charged for. I had no choice but to pay under protest before they would release my belongings.

It all started with what it seemed to be a fair quote. The day before the scheduled move the quote went up almost $4000 and when I tried to cancel it, the deposit was non refundable. That’s how they get you! From there it went downhill fast as the rip off continued. The actual movers were beyond rude and unprofessional and asked for cash or money order. Suddenly they also had a delivery timeline 4-30 days. Feeling threatened by one of the movers yelling on my face, had to call the police.

Poor packing service. poorly labeled items and missing sofa legs! Highly inaccurate estimate. actual volume was 3 times more than estimated volume. Ben was helpful and responsive during booking!

Used AB moving from MN to FL and problems as the movers were late for pick and delivery, did not pack everything that was supposed to be moved. They claimed they can move motorcycles however almost dropped them moving a few inches so we had to hire an actual motorcycle mover for those. Then had to rent a U-Haul to move the items they did not take ourselves. Prices changed every time we spoke to them and ended up paying $4000 more.

Most frustrating experience I've ever had! Customer service was very short with me. The price was raised. The process was not explained well enough to me for me to make an informed decision. I was not told that my stuff would be sent to a warehouse and only moved to me when enough people were moving to my area. I would not have used this company had I known that.

Avoid this moving company. They gave an initial quote based on a short list of our furniture. We called back to give a more comprehensive list of our furniture, and they assured us that the price would only increase a few hundred dollars. We realized they never sent us the updated quote, so we called several days in a row and couldn’t get a copy of the quote. Then, 24 hours before the scheduled move, they increased the price by over 3k. Seems like a predatory company to me.

This company is a scam. All of my belongings were ruined. A box marked fragile was full of shattered glass when it got to me. The arrival date was constantly change. They tried to charge me extra due to a broken elevator. Nothing was well cared for and I will be doing all I can to shut this company's doors.
