I'm not sure why my experience with them is so out of sync with many reviews here. Maybe I had their subcontractors. Service requested: Poor. Not on time. Three movers for a one-bedroom apartment, which took exactly 4 hours. We already packed everything in boxes ourselves the night before, so not sure why it took so long. The old and new apartment is less than 0.5 mile away and both had an elevator reserved specifically for the move. Quality: Poor. They were an hour late.
Alex told me on the phone when I made the appointment that they would be able to store my items for $400 a month. But when the movers showed up on the day of the move, Alex told us that they would not be able to store anything without tripling the cost of our move. To add insult to injury he was also very rude on the phone. Do not recommend

We had an extremely poor experience with Albo. Other reviews seemed positive so we decided to give them a try. The move took twice as long as other quotes we got, and double the price. We've moved multiple times with other moving companies and it's never taken that long. STAY AWAY!
Albo Moving Company is full of crap. They tryed to scam me, came to my home not speaking english telling me my moved would take 10 to 12 hours.l sent them packing. Called My Sons Moving Company they came the next day and moved me in four hours. I will say they gave me my $50 deposit back. Oh and they wanted to be paid in cash...go figure. Would not recommend

I am new to the Philadelphia area after relocating from LA in April. I was living with my parents while looking for a job on the east coast. I finally got a job in NYC, so I had to move to Jersey City. Being new to the area, I didn't have any idea of the movers in the Philly area. After doing some checking on yelp and google reviews, I came across Albo moving. Their reviews were really good, and they were close to my parent's house where I was living at the time.

Had a great experience with Albo Moving! Alex and Abu helped us with unloading a full 16ft PODS container into a 3-floor home, with many heavy items going all the way to the top. They were efficient but careful, skillfully navigating tight stairways and turns without any damage to our belongings or the walls. Scheduling was easy, pricing was straightforward. I will absolutely be seeking their help again the next time we move!
Updated Feb 14, 2025. I would recommend this moving company. Originally I had a lower rating (from a summer heat wave day when I moved) but I am changing this after I noticed a few things that were actually good on their part. It was difficult move and they pressed through. I also found more of my belongings that I thought were misplaced - but it was my error not theirs. Thank you.
