The arrogance is astounding. When you explain that three items need to be packed separately as they are expensive and irreplaceable only to find on the other end of the move that even though you were assured it would be fine. It’s not fine. Many items went onto the truck not packed. Items changed trucks at some point. Items that should never have been taken apart were taken apart (after we were assured they wouldn’t be).

This company was moving my neighbour out of their house and decided to block off half of my driveway! Even though there was a very large area of space for them to park in front of the house they were moving. They told me they couldn’t move the truck so that I could get my car in, and that they would just be there for a “couple more hours”. So unprofessional and inconsiderate.

We moved across the country last year and agreed with Bekins on an estimated price for moving, limited packing and storage. The actual moving cost was 20% more after we were given 3 weights for our furniture and personal affects. Packing cost was 70% more than they quoted us. The estimated moving cost was obviously understated to ward off competitors. We told Bekins not to pack certain items - they did.

I used Bekins to move my son and I from Sooke BV to Radium Hot Springs BC in June 2021. Several item were damaged and i submitted a claim for about $1000.00 as they requested. .Never heard from them again. Thanks Bekins.
Blocked the bike lane and parked on the sidewalk. Evidently laws and common courtesy are foreign concepts to this company. Do better.
