I did an oversea move with this Company. Part of my belongings (plastic containers)broke, got repacked, without any notice. I got told that my shipment should take 10 to 12 weeks, it took 6 weeks longer. The boxes where badly damaged , dented and ripped, my dishes broken. Because I packed myself, and I did pack very careful and very well, the insurance didn't cover anything. I got no apology from this Company, no reply other then from the office to deal with the insurance.
They are terrible movers for across Canada, based on my extremely painful (and expensive) move in Jan 2025 -- they literally lost half of my totes, and delivery a new king bed that wasn't mine! They refused any responsibility, even though I had pictures of before and after! (I'd used Sweenies for 5 km move from old to new home on Saanich Peninsula in fall 2023.)

Ripped off! Doubled our quote from 6800 to 15000! We were told we HAD TO sign papers before we left. A new weight was applied after they had our stuff and signatures. Their own drivers said there was no way that there was that much weight in the truck.
Dear Clint, Unfortunately when we asked if we could provide you with an in-home estimate we were not able to as your belongings were with a restoration company. You told us that you were requesting quotes from several companies based on your estimate of 3000lbs.

I recently downsized from a 3 bedroom house to a smaller townhome, both in Sidney, with 2 days of storage in between. I was very pleased with the service from Sweenie/ Greaves Moving. A special shout out to Shelley and Cole who did such a great job with the packing. It was really impressive to watch the 3 men do the heavy lifting into and out of the truck, up a flight of stairs and around corners in tight spaces! They are real professionals who worked so quickly and efficiently as a team with years of experience.

I have completed several international and cross continent moves so I have a good understanding of the quality of service Major Brand movers provide. Chris was by far the best. He was extremely organized….. Having unique color coded labels for each box Segregated by room. He and his team carefully wrapped with both blankets and cellophane each piece of furniture. I felt extremely confident that our possessions would arrive without any damage Which they did.
