In their own words
Their truck broke down causing an hour delay. They charged us $40 for shrink wrap. The 'President' of the company was rude and unhelpful. Would not recommend them.
I used Bernard Movers on June 30,2013. It was the worse experience I have ever had. It took them 7+ hours to move me. I had packed boxes and moved them to one room so basically they only had to move 2 beds, couch, 2 credenzas 1 chest, 1dresser and chest of drawers, a sofa and chair, and a few odds and ends. They were late, slow, and damaged my furniture. I had a mirror that they must have broken because I saw it go on the truck but it never got to my new condo.
They were cool about last minute scheduling and the movers seemed cool and got the job done but when I went back to the house to grab a few remaining items I realized one or all of them had stole my leather jacket and my Bluetooth speaker. I called the office to tell them and they immediately told me about how they didn’t steal anything. They gave me a rundown about them moving art and fine china and since they didn’t steal that they didn’t steal my stuff.
They were a good company but I realized that my Cubs coat was gone and they would not do anything about it. I called the owner and she said her men don’t steal. I told her I watched the coat go into the wardrobe box and they were “so nice” that they hung up all the clothes in the closet. I did not look for it right away but when I did the owner said at first I must have misplaced it. I will NEVER use BENARD MOVERS again and I have told my friends not to use them either.
This was one of the worst moving companies ever! they trashed our furniture. They dented a wall. 2 out of the 3 movers did very little work. When I spoke up they laughed and made jokes. I called office and they sent a " manager". And he …

BERNARD movers were excellent and very professional during my move today. Miguel, Sergio and Jonathan showed up on time and took great care wrapping and packing all of my items. The move took less than 4 hours with no damages and no stress. I absolutely recommend them to anyone who is moving in Chicago. They told me that they move all over the country as well. A+

Miguel and Sergio are the best of the best! They came in, understood their assignment and lead their expertise in gym equipment assembly do the work. Had a machine that needed to be disassembled, moved and reassembled a couple floors down into my home gym. Took them under two hours to complete the job. Incredibly efficient, I cannot recommend them more. I will also be utilizing Bernard movers to move me out of my home when the time comes out of state.

bernard movers were amazing. after a scheduling incident where we accidentally never confirmed our move, they squeezed us in last minute. Sergio, Jonathan, and Alberto came to our place as soon as four hours after the initial call and were ready to go. they were incredible, they didnt complain about a single thing and even helped us move some trash into the alley. i had an oversized shelf and they readily disassembled and reassembled it for us. they were pure professionals..it was amazing watching them work.

I hardly write review to a company, this time is a exception. Kasper and Sauier has protect my furniture from scratching. some of my furnitures have wheel on them it is common to just roll and move them on the floor. I was amazed by those two movers. I was watching the whole process of moving NONE of my furnitures and office chair wheels rolled on a concret or hard floor. l pull down the furnitures very gentle. even though they are super heavy.
