MULTIPLE BROKEN furniture ITEMS NO response after payment was made came hours late I mean HOURS LATE like delivery was 1am instead of 5pm like it was scheduled and pick up didnt get there until at least 12pm when 8am was the set time. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THEM. Seems like it's just some guys off Craigslist very much scam vibes
Thank you for you review we received no discussions of broken items and payment was made sound and clear and we contacted customer many times about being delayed due to morning job and we were running late and that was fine the day of the move but not a week later leaving a review
The movers themselves did a great job, but the billing was extremely disappointing. I was quoted $109/hour plus a one-time $99 fuel fee. The job ran from 2:36 PM to 5:25 PM (3 hours total), which should have come out to $426. Instead, I was charged $480 which is a $54 difference with no clear upfront explanation. When I questioned the total, I received multiple inconsistent answers.

Don’t waste your time. Thought we hired “movers” instead one guy showed up. My bf ended up having to help the guy move everything up the stairs because this company didn’t want to pay another guy to do the job most likely. Also he had the audacity to raise the price that we were quoted. We should’ve never paid that. When you hire movers to move your stuff you expect to not have to move anything! Unacceptable. I sent a text expressing my experience but of course no response. So here’s a review thanks :)

Steve sent one guy who was an hour late. Mover showed up with a U-Haul to move my son from NC to GA. He got the sofa down the stairs by himself then told my son that mover 2 couldn’t find the apt complex so he was going to meet him at the gas station and was it ok to leave the sofa there. Since we didn’t have much of a choice, he said ok since the guy said he’d be right back. He didn’t return. My son called Steve and told him exactly what he thought about the situation. Steve hung up on him first.

EDITED 5/5/25 Hang it up Steven, you tried to rip us off and there is no justification for it. Why are you even mentioning stairs?! We had no qualms about paying for our move, IN FACT, we paid for our move AND tipped the movers very well, so the issue was never the cost, it was the fact that you tried to extort us for more money AFTER your service threw our moving schedule off.

I’ve used Big Burns Movers three times now, and hopefully I won’t be moving again for a LONG time , but there is absolutely no way I would ever move again without them. One of the biggest things that sets Big Burns apart is their communication and punctuality. When I tell you ON TIME, ON TIME, ON TIME — I mean it. Every experience I’ve had with them, they have either been early or right on time.
Beyond Excellent service!!!!! The owner explained everything along with the cost. He was extremely helpful and I was scheduled for the day and time that I needed.
