I paid for professional packing! What I got was things thrown in boxes, smashed damaged lamps, damaged furniture, missing items, rude behavior, and extremely unprofessional! I would gladly post photos but didn’t have the option!
Ms. Kline, We cannot locate your information regarding a move that you may have had. Would it perhaps be under a different name? Please give our office a call regarding this matter in order to address this. Thank you Annette
tl;dr - Do not use this company to move your belongings! Much of our home furnishings were damaged, broken, or scratched due to packing on the truck and loading or unloading rush. We chose to pack our own belongings. We opted to purchase insurance to cover damages. When I filed the claim I was informed that the insurance did not cover damage to items not packed by them. Then why did they ask me if I wanted insurance since they knew we were going to pack ourselves?

I initially would have given them 5 stars for the packing and loading experience but the unpacking and unloading ruined that. Much of my personal items that had easily survived previous state to state moves have come out of the boxes broken. I was discouraged by the driver from manually checking off the list as they unloaded so I didn’t worry much. Bad decision because now I’m missing a box of supplies for my job, not valuable but I had accumulated them over time and it will cost a lot to replace.
Terrible movers. Showed up 3-4 days later than the date they told me. Many of my packages didn't have labels on them, which makes tracking my stuff difficult. Lost one of my boxes and flat out refused to pay for it despite tons of proof. Their truck had a leak and a lot of my stuff was wet. Movers smoked in the truck while unloading and my furniture stunk for a couple days. Seriously avoid these guys.
The absolute worst experience! I have moved many times- across states. This was a heartbreaking experience. The movers broke antiques, dropped boxes, failed to load the truck properly and seemed clueless. But worse yet I cannot get the company to pay for the damage - or even call me back. Pitiful. Unprofessional. Disgusting. Sad, but it seems I will have to file in court to get any resolution.

Amazing movers. I highly recommend. The entire process, from estimating, to booking, packing, loading and unloading by an Allied worked like clockwork and all phases provided timely and accurate communication. Full service moving can be costly, but pricing was on target and although moving is stressful, Allied made it so much easier. They were always on time or early and great communication throughout the entire process and assigned a customer service agent who could answer any questions along the way.

This is the 4th move I’ve made with Carey over the past 20 years. They have always been responsive, reliable, professional and thorough. My latest move did not disappoint. Many of their crew members have worked for Carey for many years, which says a lot in an industry that is hard work.

Arrived early and stayed late! These gentlemen were professional and a pleasure to work with. One item had a broken leg. They apologized and said Carey would take care of it. I know they will because Carey has moved us before.
