Arrived 3 hours late, the dispatcher didn't seem to care they were 3 hours late. Movers had no idea they should have been there by 11am. Seems this happens a lot by their reaction after talking them the move was scheduled for 11am. Long story short, move ended with a damaged front door at 8pm and the drive from the storage unit to my home was about 20min. Most of the day I had to take off of work was spent waiting. Called Collegian to voice my complaint and nobody has responded.
WARNING Stay as far away from this company as you can 1) They broke my $2,500 TV. Assured me it will be covered, only to later tell me it is not covered and nothing they can do about it because I did not purchase an insurance specific to the tv with them which no one mentioned ever 2) On the move out, one of the workers was completely green and fell asleep on the job. Literarily caught him dozing off 3) $300 of pots and pans missing, never to be found
BUYER BEWARE -I asked them to move my son's 1 bedroom apartment from Greenwich CT to Windsor Locks CT. Driving distance is 90 miles or around 2 hours depending on traffic. The Good: Donovan and Ed, the truck driver and his co-driver arrived on time, worked diligently and professionally. They provided great service. They wrapped the mattress and did not break anything. The Bad: George quoted me 5 hours including driving time at $104.95 per hour for a total of $524.25.
DROPPED our ABC Carpet & Home table and broke a leaf support. Scratched our $3,000 each American Leather recliners even though we provided the original delivery packing materials. Also, 'rushed' the job even though payment was by the hour. I asked why, no explanation. I surmised that the first timers were hired for a day rate, not for time served. Obtained the recommendation from Nextdoor!
Collegian arrived promptly on the scheduled day. However, they arrived with an extra crew member and informed us that we could either agree to a higher hourly rate or reschedule the move for another day. As that wasn't an option, I was left …

I could not be any more satisfied with the service that I received from Collegian Movers. We had a large amount of items that needed to be moved - from the standard S, M, L, XL boxes; to living / family room furniture, bedroom furniture, office furniture; patio furniture, a lawn mower, a snow blower, and even nonstandard items like gym equipment, a basketball hoop and a large playground / swing set with two slides! The employees were professional from the moment they stepped out of the truck.

We used Collegian to move to a local temp rental while our home was being renovated. Excellent range of services, like storage, that fit our needs and requirements. Very well-run operation. The moving professionals were very personable and competent. Responsive and available when you need them to help plan your project. Do a good job incorporating online tools to help manage the job. Highly recommend for a move within CT or nearby CT.

The team was on time. They asked my needs for the day. We quickly signed papers and they went straight to work. They were a happy, competent group that knew their skill. They assured me that I didn't need to help and put my mind at ease. We had nice light conversation but they focused on their work. They finished all of their work in the time allotted and I was super happy with my day. I would recommend.

Nick and crew did such an amazing job. We need to move out of our rental house during February, with this winter’s constant snow storms, extreme low temperatures and crazy winds, I was so stressed out about the move. Also we have several heavy bulky furnitures and big indoor plants. Due to weather conditions, ice, snow and mud on the ground, and lots of boxes, Nick advised us to spilt the move into two days.
