In their own words
After being a customer for over a decade they lost our business. I was looking to upgrade our units to a larger one and the one I wanted online stayed to call. I called and spoke to Mike and verified it was available He told me it was and he would let Nicole know. I stated I would be over after Noon to fill out paperwork. While on my way over I received a voicemail from Nicole stating she had rented it an hour earlier online. Which is a lie. That option was not available otherwise I would have done that .
They showed me a unit and stated this will be my unit. We drove around the storage unit looking for an open unit and we had found one that was vacant. I put all my stuff in there EVERYTHING I OWNED AND it's all gone now!!! they put me in the wrong unit in the system and it already had someone else's stuff in the unit. They don't even know whose stuff is in the unit.This is very hard for me to accept. That was my whole life in that unit. I need to contact the owner because I didn't get much talking to the staff.
This situation was an unfortunate event, and we are working with Mr. Taylor to resolve the issue.
Cleaned out my daughter's unit on 11-27-21 and notified the office. I had pre-paid through the end of the year and they will not give a refund for December. I understand not pro-rating refunds when you move out during a month, but this is …
Hi Erin, I think the confusion is in when the month started for your unit. Your unit started on the 23rd of the month to the 22nd of the next month. So the last month went from November 23, 2021 to December 22, 2021.
No problems until we moved out. Had paid 2 months forward for convenience. They won’t give a partial refund. That is like stealing money that you didn’t earn. I’ll go elsewhere. These places are a dime a dozen.

The manager of this store is not at all helpful. I have called him numerous times in the past few months with concerns and these concerns have yet to be addressed.
If I could give zero stars I would. This company dragged their feet and refused to relinquish the contents of a storage unit for no foreseeable reason. …

Under new management. Do Not put anything that you value in these units. They will be stolen and they will blame you. This is not a secure place.

In their own words
This is by far the best and well run storage location in Joplin. An important advantage often overlooked compared with alternatives is the well drained concrete area that prevents dust and water getting into the storage units. We needed a large climate controlled storage unit to take all our household furniture and delicate items for two months over the Christmas period while we moved and waited to refurb our new home in Joplin.

I moved to Joplin from the West Coast several years ago. I've had a unit at Countryside since. I'm getting ready to move again and wanted to thank Mike and the staff for their excellent customer service. I looked at several different storage facilities and chose this one because it looked very safe and well maintained. As a bonus, the place is extremely clean and has plenty of room to navigate the lot. I highly recommend this place for any of your storage needs.
