This moving company is terrible, do not book with them. They care only about getting the maximum amount of money out of you only, they do not care about your belongings. They jacked up my price $600 upon pickup and once again upon drop-off. You will be nickled and dimed for things completely out of your control like if they have to walk further than 75 feet, or god forbid you live on the second floor and they have to use stairs or an elevator. Because guess what? You're footing the bill for that.
Almost every piece of furniture was damaged in some way. $6,000 grill bent and grill piece missing. Other items damaged, as well as hitting and damaging walls and door frames at (new construction) new residence. Made claims process so convoluted that we gave up as the amount you would receive for damages wasn't worth the headache. Arrived at new property 1 1/2 week after we arrived. Paid approx $13,000+? For this "service".

An honest experience. My fiancé used this company after being assured of their quality and price. They moved us from NJ to FL in more time than was promised due to an inconvenience on the road. This was understandable and their owner Avi recompensed us for our babies necessities. The movers finally arrived and put all things in order except a lamp they forgot to leave and two tv's which they strangely did not uncover although they uncovered the third tv.
I would not use this company. They give you a quote that is not correct. After you put a deposit down, they jack up your price and then they won’t reimburse your deposit, if you wanna go with a different company. They gave me a quote for 66 pieces. And I end up having 92 pieces and they jacked up my price. So I end up leaving a lot of stuff behind and took 66 pieces and still wouldn’t have had enough room.

used them to move from NJ to AZ. They only had to move 6 big items, 3 of the 6 came broken. I spent more money replacing my tv, desk, chair, and 2nd tv, than I did having them move my product. Was told not to get insurance because they "PROMISE" it wont get damaged, but im now out moving expenses, the original cost of my equipment, and now having to replacement it all. would have been better off never using this company.

I cannot and will not recommend this moving company, the damage that they did to my furniture was absurd! They hired a person off the street to help unload, he knew nothing about moving furniture, damaged my wall and put big black marks on …

First Rate Moving & Storage made my move very easy. 5 men completed my move and they were friendly and very professional. My fear of moving has been taken away with all of them. I will be moving in a few months again and will definitely be calling First Rate. Wonderful experience!!
