I was not thrilled with this company. Although they were great with booking and gave me a quote over the phone the actual moving day experience was below par. They did a good job of moving the actual furniture but the foreman in charge on the day of the move was beyond rude all day long. He was constantly complaining and went so far as to accuse me of being a cheapscate. He claimed that I requested only 3 men to do the job to save money when I did no such thing.

Sadly our experience with Garden State Moving went from being a positive experience to an extremely disappointing one. The move went well but one of our favorite and most unique pieces was damaged during the move. The heavy one of a kind piece was not wrapped prior to removing it from our home even though we paid a fee for wrapping materials. According to the mover when he placed it in the truck the petrified wood split into two even though it was not dropped.

If I could give a 0 star level to this company I would. They assured me they would assist with our packing and handle our items with care. They did not wrap furniture properly or use cardboard as requested. They did however create a giant mess in my storage space placing boxes on their sides and furniture atop boxes. I have had to rent an additional storage space to account for their mess. Don’t hire them, if you want your stuff handled with care.

The movers were on time, which is amazing. I’ve never had movers on time.. They were very friendly and professional and more than accommodating. The staff in the office is very helpful with scheduling my move. It was very difficult overall I believe it was a pretty fair price. I was genuinely happy with it. I would recommend them.
Garden State Movers were the best moving experience we’ve ever had. (And I’ve moved a lot) The movers were polite, professional, courteous and very helpful. The truck was clean. They blanketed all of our furniture and took very good care of everything. When we got to our new home they placed everything where we wanted it and rearranged it if needed. I would highly recommend Garden State Movers. And there were no surprise add on costs as I’ve read reviews from other companies.
