Worst storage unit rented unprofessional everything was always broken the door to go in for my unit was never locked it was open all the time I went in rude and disrespectful
Dee, if your storage unit was never locked it's because YOU never locked it. The best thing about self storage is the "self" part - managers do not have combos or keys to storage units.
Everything was fine until a week later they decided I still owed them money for a truck rental and charged 80$ on my acount. Over drawing it, giving me 8 overdraft fees. Making it impossible to pay my rent ( due two days later). So thanks golden state for making me homeless......
Going through old reviews I just now saw yours from almost 10 years ago, Shane. Hopefully we explained that truck rentals are done through the truck rental company and we have no say in the matter.

Golden State Storage by far is a trustworthy business to store your personal items. Not only do the employees make you feel right at home, they are also very friendly and clean. They have plenty of cameras. Another plus is that a majority of the units are drive ups. I love the fact that whenever I go to my unit, there's not a bunch of ppl just hanging around. the business. They actually care about their customers. One more thing I should mention, when I got my first unit, I rented a 5x5 unit.
We choose to separate ourselves from the competition by offering the BEST customer service! You can rent a storage unit from a lot of different companies, but it is our managers that make all the difference. Managers that maintain a clean … More
Golden Storage and their staff have been complete professionals in providing assists with our unexpected moving and storage needs. Although there have been some technical difficulties with their gate everything else has been outstanding. Especially when we moved out of our large storage into a small more permanent unit. They just prorated and transferred us over. Too simple. Thanks GS.
We are always striving to improve and appreciate this honest review. We are grateful we were able to provide you with the extra space you need to meet your storage needs!
Its easy, safe and less expensive than most places. The managing staff are friendly and helpful. The only reason I gave them 4 stars.. Is the new Covid-19 restrictions are less friendly and sometimes less convenient.. BUT... I would recommend them.. 100%
Yes, with our new "touchless" system we have been managing from somewhat of a distance lately. But access remains the same and we still value your business and positive support. Dennis, thank you for your understanding while we navigate … More
I highly recommend Golden State storage. I've been storing with them for about 2 years now. Nick and Felicia have been very helpful to meet my needs to getting the right sized units and pricing. They will also show you the units before committing.
Hi, Elizabeth! Glad to know you're still getting the same helpful service after all this time. Felisha and Nick are what makes us the best choice for storage along the 101. And we've got some pretty terrific customers, too! Thank you!
