Grunts Move Junk & Moving

I would not recommend this company. Grunts Move junk pursued me doggedly after I requested information. I received weekly phone calls to book my appointment. Once the appointment was booked, the day they were to arrive, I received a call stating they would be late. They arrived an hour and a half late. Both grunts were courteous and worked hard. The time allotted due to their late arrival did not allow for a full job of packing my moving trailer. Many things were left out.

Grunts need to stay away from packing moving trucks. We were upfront at what was going to be loaded. My husband had already left for NC the day the Grunts came and loaded the truck. Same exsperiance as the other move posted. They loaded the box of moving blankets after I had seperated them from the other boxes in the garage. The trailer was equipted with drop down shelves, which I had already pulled down 3 and loaded some delicate items on. They disregarded any suggestions that I made.

Movers were friendly, but I wouldn’t say “experienced” compared to local movers I used 6 months and interstate movers I hired 2 years ago. Front office was utterly unprofessional. They are not customer centric, very defensive and borderline hostile. Don’t let this happen to you!!!

We hired Grunts Move Junk to move two heavy bathroom vanities up one flight of stairs. When we booked, their office requested the dimensions, weight, and stair details, all of which we provided accurately. Despite that, only three movers arrived, and the lead mover immediately said the office should have sent four people. They attempted the move anyway—first with straps and then with a dolly—neither of which made sense for the space. Anyone with basic spatial awareness could see it wouldn’t work.

We had a complex home and attached apartment whole house clean out that was a hoarding situation for a very elderly woman in extremely poor health. Grunts went to the property, saw both spaces, and gave us an estimate for just over $4500. I completely agree the job was that big. We paid the 50% deposit and scheduled the work. They went to the house on a Tuesday in April and I got a call that afternoon. I was told they needed another day and that there was an additional charge.

Update (2022): We've now moved with Grunts Move Junk twice in two years (into and out of the same house). The first time around they were professional, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. The second time, unfortunately, was an expensive disappointment. There was a miscommunication about whether we had boxes or just furniture -- they ended up moving the furniture that was listed in the brief and none of the boxes, which was fine since the miscommunication was not their fault.

I hired grunts junk On September 24 They provided a work order and invoice for $398.10 and then they provided an altered receipt to American Express when they charged $390 above the original invoice that I have of $398.10 this is clear fraud and will be pursued by the attorney general and criminal charges that will be filed By this dishonest company and Bart newhouse.

I used this company to pack a storage Pod at my home several months ago for a move. They did an excellent job of packing the Pod. They were also tasked with packing some fragile glassware. They had a ample amount of packing material and i just recently unloaded the Pod at our new location. Opening the boxes that they packed with the fragile glassware several things were broken. These guys literally only used one sheet of packing paper per item and stuffed them in the box.
