In their own words
Don't hire these guys unless you want your furniture destroyed. I hired them to load 2 pods that were being shipped to Oregon. I told the team lead, Jeremy, that I wanted all furniture wrapped. After the pods were half packed, I went to inspect and saw that much of the furniture was not wrapped. When I complained about it and asked it to be wrapped, I was told by one of the guys that, "It's not my first rodeo" and that everything will be okay.

What an AMAZING team! I had to move a rather large piece of scientific equipment from MUSC to the Citadel. I had previously hired another moving company that ended up not being able to help me. What many moving companies could not do, Island Moving Professionals accepted without hesitation and said "no problem!" They showed up right on time and were extremely professional. You can tell these are people who are experienced in the field by how they communicated and operated.
By far the best moving experience I've ever had. John, Bam, Bubba, Travis, and Boogie were incredibly careful, thorough, and kind. I would trust them with any move. They moved quickly, and we didn't get so much as a scratch on any of our furniture. I had a very fragile glass globe lamp shade that broke during the move. We couldn't find a replacement shade online, so John just replaced the whole lamp and hand delivered it to us a few days after our move.
My wife and I have had many experiences with movers in the past..... never before have we had such a wonderful experience with a moving company! For this particular move, we had a challenging 300 gallon fish tank to move from Atlanta. We had to call numerous service providers both in Atlanta and Charleston before we could find someone willing to help. John and his team were total pros throughout the booking process and for the move itself.
The Island Movers did a great job!! They were able to fit me in to their schedule at somewhat short notice, and showed up on time and ready to go. They were super nice and careful, too. I had a few things that were a bit fragile, and they took great care with them. I was impressed that even the files in my file cabinet were in perfect shape after being moved. I liked that the owner John was there - it's nice to see an owner who is still involved in doing some of the work instead of just chilling in an office.
