HORRIBLE! I hired them through Allied Van Lines to move my stuff from NY to AZ. Jonathan Monico my sales rep gave me a total Price Guarantee for my move without even coming to look at what needed to be moved, but I thought since they are guaranteeing the price no problem. WELL, after they moved my things they charged me DOUBLE the contracted price with out even contacting me or telling me it would be more. Wish I'd NEVER given them my credit card number or hired them.
First interaction with the lady who pickup up a phone was very pleasant. We scheduled an appointment with their estimator to come over and provide estimate for interstate move to a facility that we already selected. When the estimator called and I explained the need (moving interstate into storage facility at the destination that is operated by the agent of the same moving company) he was very pushy insisting on using their storage facility in NJ and demanding to know what is a final moving destination (he was not…
JD Carton moved my family's furniture and belongings in December 2014. The move itself went very well - the move team was excellent. However, there was some damage suffered. I purchased the full value insurance policy. 2 months after the move, the insurance assessor came to see the damage. It has now been 4 months and I have not heard from JD Carton, about a settlement. I have called numerous times, and have emailed them. It is a shame, since it would have been an otherwise good experience.
I would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM!!@. Michael G never gave me a straight answer and twisted it around when questioned. Very disappointed, felt like we were taken. Gave me every excuse under the sun for not delivering what we were promised!!! He couldn't even remember what he said. My mover even said that we got taken for by thousands! Screw me once....Shame on me. Screw me twice. Well.... You know the answer.

This was our third long distance move utilizing moving services, and our third attempt at finding a good company. For the first time, my moving recommendation can include a company to use instead of another to avoid. The office was quick to answer questions and offer help, and had no issues working with us as things like dates and inventory changed.

We recently moved from NJ to NC and used Allied Van Lines. We booked the move with JD Carton after interviewing 2 addl moving companies. Ed C was our sales associate and he provided top-notch service. He responded immediately to any questions both before and after the move. Ed was a pleasure to deal and gets an “A” in customer service. In addition, Fred and his team of packers did a great job packing our entire house with great care. So happy we went with Allied Van Lines!
