I got this service for a long distance move from Denver to jersey city. At first they were very helpful and responsive but when the move date got closer, there were communication issues. I was told the driver would be coming to pick my item up in the early am. I took off work and waited for them all day. They didn’t have a notification system or update system to let me know if there was a delay. The representative was calling me instead to ask if the truck got to my place. They came the next day.
I’m writing this 1 year after my move. You won’t believe it! The good news is my things made it from Denver to New York with only 2 missing boxes. The bad news: this move ended up costing me $2k more than I had been quoted, I have been storing 3 large boxes, that were delivered as part of my move, to my 220 sq ft apt., for 1 year, that belong to other people , who clearly never got them.

My roommate moved cross country and Orange Square was the local subcontracting moving company. When the movers arrived, I tried to help my roommate as I have been working with commercial moving companies since 2012. The individual driving the truck drove it straight into branches of a tree in the house I am renting and got mad at me for taking pictures and documenting the damage. He also continued to act in a very sexist manner towards me for many minutes that made me feel unsafe in my own home.
Updated 1-20-25 In response to Orange Square Mover's Comments: You ever had one of these experience that started out great but ended up a complete horror show?! This is THAT company. We had a great move from the Boulder Colorado area to San Diego. The move back was a completely different story. The first day was supposed to be a pack day and the second a move. On pack day one of the workers literally showed up DRUNK... and brought ALCOHOL to the job site and continued to DRINK (see pictures below).

My step-father in-law hired Orange Square movers to assist in his relocation from his home of 40+ years.
