Avoid at all costs! $850 of wall damage that they have not taken responsibility for. I only selected them because Manhattan Mini Storage recommended them, which I still have no idea why. The movers were actually professional and able to do the job quickly with time leftover. Because of this, I tipped generously. Which is why I am so surprised that neither them nor the people who I am emailing with (Pat, Gail, and John) have not accepted responsibility, and have absolutely ghosted me as I'm trying to file an…
If you want your things to go missing get these guys they are very good at making things vanish and don't think for a second that you will ever get whatever you lose back or that you will even be reimbursed there insurance doesn't work like you get zero, if you want a head and hearthache this company is perfect for you.
Overall, I had a very negative experience with this company. The company was supposed to pack my apartment and move my things into storage. They showed up at my apartment with no boxes. They were rude and unprofessional. It was one of the worst moving experiences I have had.
When I hired them, i said that I have a white fragile furniture. And i ask them to carefully pack and move them. They didn't and they broke my dining table that i bought few months ago for 800 dollars. The workers who broke that table (to calm me down) told me that i don't need to be worried, the insurance will cover it. When I contacted the office for working on the claim, they told me that the insurance may pay $6 for the damaged table.
My experience with Moving Ahead moving company was disappointing and stressful. I spent a lot of money on the move from a two family house to a one family house plus storage fees. They damaged furniture which was sentimental to me, damaged my 70 inch tv. After spending thousands of dollars with them only offed $60.00 This company is unprofessional and uncaring. Please don’t use this moving company if you care about your property and want good service.

The Team did their usual great job. They were prompt, took extra care that there could be no damage and were hard working, professional, polite and made sure the job was done to our satisfaction. I heartily recommend Movin' Ahead. Give them a call and ask for Larry Manager!
These guys were absolutely great. Moving stuff in NYC is not for the faint of heart. They made it look easy. Their office team is responsive and professional. The mover crew felt like the brothers I never had, and they worked their tails off. I highly recommend them!
This company is a very good moving company. I moved 3 times in several years and used them the 3 times that I had to move. Dominick is an extremely great person who answers all of your questions and needs. The movers that I have had were great, especially the last move that I had because they had to go up the elevator and down the hall to bring my furniture. I highly recommend this company if you are going to move.
Simply the best movers I have ever used anywhere in the country. I have used Moving Ahead for about 6 moves personally and my adult children have each used them for their own moves. Stellar employees who will work until job is done and done right. Can’t say enough great things about them. I have used several other companies and will only use Moving Ahead for any future moves. Very reasonable rates as well, especially for this high level of service.
