Completely unprofessional. Poor customer service. Damage to furniture and walls. Did not follow instructions for the service requested. One showed up late, 2 were on their phones, and I was up-charged. If the amount charged is going to be higher, that should be discussed with the person paying before they exceed the quote. Be careful with this company.

We used them once to move from our apartment on the third floor to a townhouse just across the street. They did a decent job and were timely enough, but ended up charging us more than quoted for the move. When we bought our house, we decided to use them again, but this time was much worse. We emphasized that we wanted an accurate quote and mentioned what had happened last time. We gave them every dimension of every item we have and they were familiar with most of our items from our first move.
We sincerely apologize for the disappointing experience you had during your recent move with us. We understand how frustrating it can be when expectations are not met, especially regarding quotes and staffing.
Terrible service. Over the phone, they quoted $400, but in reality, they charged $3,000 for the move. I do not recommend them!!

Mentors Moving and Storage was recommended to me by our contractor and they were great! They responded quickly, communicated professionally and booked our move fast and efficiently. The two movers, Jeremiah and Jorge arrived promptly, also communicated effectively and were so fast and efficient! I was really impressed with how quickly they were able to wrap up the furniture and load it into the truck. Even with their impressive speed, they were very careful with the furniture and boxes.

JR and Angel Alvarez were extremely professional and honestly saved the day! First, I had ordered a storage pod months in advance and they canceled on me the day it was supposed to arrive. This was only a few days before my house I was selling was due to close escrow so everything had to be out within a few days. Angel happened to see me commenting on an online news story about shady moving companies (not associated with them at all) and told me he would have his staff call me (without knowing my situation).

When we moved down from Washington state, we moved ourselves and it took us 2 trips with a 26’ UHaul truck. We aren’t professional movers so we didn’t pack the trucks well. We unloaded the contents into 2 storage units (again not packed well). Once we purchased a house, we decided to use a local mover to get our storage units worth of stuff to our new house. I found Mentors Movers on Yelp and they had a 5-star rating so I gave them a call. I spoke with Blaine, who was professional and easy to talk to.

I highly, highly, highly recommend Mentors Movers for any type of moving service you are looking for. We hired them for packing, moving, and unpacking...and throughout the entire process they were professional, quick to respond and just an overall pleasure to work with. Quote process - I was looking to schedule a move from Sacramento to Bakersfield rather quickly and right after Xmas and before New Years. I reached out and handled the quote process with David in their Bakersfield office.
