I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with MG Moving Services and your complete lack of professionalism. Your company canceled my move six days before my confirmed pickup date. This last-minute cancellation caused major disruption to my home closing and travel plans Here’s exactly what happened. On April 14, 2025, I contacted Karl Heckelmoser based on a family friend’s referral. I was explicitly warned to avoid brokers and deal directly with a mover, which Karl claimed to be.

DO NOT USE MG MOVERS!!! MG Movers completely misled me and overcharged for services through deceptive billing practices. I am filing a complaint and strongly warn others: do not use this company! I was quoted and charged for 4 total hours — 3 hours of labor and 1 hour of travel time. The movers were working and in transit for 4 hours and 15 minutes total. Yet they claimed I went over by 1 hour and 15 minutes.
My Guys Moving moved me on January 1, 2015. In the process, they damaged several items: A 5 ft baby grand piano: They did not know how to remove the legs, so moved it with the legs on! They lightly wrapped the top of the piano but put no padding at all on the legs. In the process they put numerous dings into the finish of the piano case and legs. I saw them trying to hide the damage by coloring some of the dings with a black magic marker. After they set up the piano, one of the legs fell off.
Thought with reviews this moving company would be a good choice. The move was only 4 bldgs down in the same complex. I had no living room or dining room furniture, only a bedroom set, office furniture and boxes. The quote was fair and thought the job would not take long as I hired 3 guys. They arrived at 8:15 figured they be done by 12noon. For some reason, they didn't finish until after 2:00pm.
Unfortunately, I did not have the same overall experiences as the other reviewers. When my movers arrived they told me that If my move took more than 2 hours they will charge me extra. The items I needed to move were a dining table w/4 chairs & a bench, dresser w/mirror, queen mattress w/bedframe, a standing mirror, and 2 boxes. I figured w/ 2 professional movers this would not take more than 2 hours, but it did. I do feel the movers could have moved a bit quicker nonetheless they did a good job.

We've used their services on 3 occasions. Movers were punctual, friendly and helpful. Heavy equipment was moved promptly and with no damage to the rooms or the equipment. Highly recommend.
