Our experience with Motivated Movers was extremely disappointing. Our crew showed up tired and complained about having to move items. We fed them pizza to make sure they had enough energy to unload the truck and sadly they slowed way down and went well over the estimated time we were quoted. Called Barry the manager and spoke with him. Instead of being curious and willing to fix our issues, he was defensive and insisted MM was the most highly rated company in Tuscaloosa. The crew broke glass on an antique piece.
This company is shady and will mishandle and relocate some or all of your items. I don’t recommend EVER using this company at any location. The service is terrible and they WILL overcharge you and send lazy employees to run up your time. This place is a joke. My kids could’ve moved everything quicker, safer and cheaper.
Worst moving experience I have ever had. I had every box clearly marked with the contents and clearly marked fragile. Most all my glass items, cups, bowls, glass in my picture frames were broken. Also had each box marked which room they should be put in but they were all stacked in the same room. Instead of using hand trucks to move 3, 4, 5 boxes at a time one guy walking very slowly moved ONE box at a time. The other guy stayed in the truck mostly waiting for the other guy to bring out or in one box at a time.
We appreciate all feedback whether good or bad but it has to be factual. Your move was 5 hours. You didn't use any packing paper for any of your fragile boxes. Every box that we picked up we heard glass touching. Glass isn't safe in boxes … More
First of all we were waiting for them to come 2 hours. We were schedule for 10:00 finally my husband called and was told they did not have us scheduled. Well when you came out the 2nd time and evaluate what to be moved and you gave us a time and and estimate of the cost. Well after arguing with them they came at 12:00 with one truck thereforth they had to make two trips with cost us and extra $70.00.
Was scheduled to have a move between 12-2 pm. The movers called after 5 pm to tell me they were too tired to continue with moving for the day. It appeared they had grossly underestimated the previous job’s manpower needs. Management took almost an hour to return calls and couldn’t provide any information on scheduling for the day and never had accurate information on the progress of the movers’ arrival time.
