Very sloppy job! Jack quoted us a firm price and then when they were done he had his employees come and say we need an extra thousand dollars. We have broken furniture, still missing items and things just thrown anywhere so they could …
I was quoted a price and in the end the price was more expensive. I have an adjustable bed and it wasn't operating properly. I called Jack and he told me he could send his guys, but they wouldn't know what to do because they were just horses. The problem was the movers didn't wire the control unit correctly.The movers also failed the assemble the bed frame properly, because they didn't install all the bolts.They didn't handle my furniture with care and left empty beverage containers throughout the house.
You were charged the price quoted. If you had a problem with the bed, why didn't you just call the office ? We would have gladly came and corrected the bed. When you put a 1 star review in the middle of the night on a local family business , it just makes you look like a miserable and gutless old…
Moved in July of 2021. They broke TWO good quality Ikea bookcases beyond repair saying that, “Ikea furniture isn’t made to be moved.” Whaat?! They broke my daughter’s mattress, my bedroom mirror, messed up a railing in my new place, and …
Furniture should not fall apart when lifting it up Anne Rezabek , this is not normal. Your ( IKEA type / particle board bookshelves ) were warped from water on the bottom , and falling apart at the joints and fell apart when lifted.
Timely but damaged several pieces of furniture which includes desk and tv table where the doors are stuck. I don’t think I will use them again

Can't recommend Murphy Family Movers enough! Starting with Jack, he was so easily available, explained everything they do for a move with utmost reassurance. Jose and Demictroic were our moving guys from Chicago to St. Louis. They called to let me know they were on their way. Showed up with all moving materials and were very professional and knowledgeable about every item they had to pack and move. They dismantled and packed everything in a timely manner.
