In their own words
Stored my property with them for almost 18 months prior to moving, when finally bringing my furniture we noticed lots of damage. They have done nothing to make reparations to our furniture for the damage occurred during storage. 2 leather chairs with indents that are not coming out! book stand with broken support cross member. Oh I should add that they offered .60 cents a lb for damage to our 900 dollar chairs what a joke and that was for damage incurred while moving not for storage.
Yesterday i moved using Northumberland movers. It was definitely the worst experience i have ever had moving. Previously i have used Stevenson’s in cobourg, 3 moves in fact since 2016. Each move was a great experience whereby the crew was very professional and competent. They were booked so i went to Northumberland movers. Initially things were pleasant until they realized the job would not be completed by 8 pm, a time reported to me by the team captain. Union rules stipulated that he need to clock out by 8 pm.
They will give you an inaccurate quote to get your business but it ends up being hundreds of dollars more. They also give you smaller trucks than quoted and all your belongings won't fit but it's your problem. Many many items broken during the move and had to find family to finish the move. DO NOT RECOMMEND this company at all. NIGHTMARE MOVE at a very steep price.
Kenya, I'm sorry you may have mistaken our company with another. Please contact our office at [phone removed] to provide details of your move as we do not have you listed as a client.
Does not bother to return calls, does not respond to messages and apparently is not willing or refuses to provide estimates. One phone message claimed an excuse that due to a power outage the phone could not be answered yet power outage …
Good morning Michael, our phones have a plug which requires power to operate. The outage lasted for 3 hours. We were checking messages by way of mobile and responded to all calls received. We have not received a voicemail, phone call, or email from you.

Highly recommend this moving company! Tanya, in the office, Tyler, Caleb and Dylan couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and professional. They arrive on time, complete the work capably and efficiently. They all made the move a pleasant experience. Thank you!
Tanya in the office was so accommodating as my situation was in flux. The guys that moved me last month were absolute beasts and got everything loaded and unloaded in great time! I have moved five times in four years and I will choose NCMC each time to make my life easier. The lads were quick, efficient, gentle and systematic in their job. It was great to have experts doing what they do best and communicating with myself and each other throughout the process. So thankful for the great service!
What a seamless, worry-free move! Joe and Andy were attentive, careful, friendly and very efficient- no time was wasted. Highly recommended!!!
Family owned and operated for many years. My first time moving and Amy was brilliant at answering all my questions and allaying all my fears. Moving men were prompt, professional, courteous, and friendly. Their slogan should be "Relax. We'll take care of everything" because they really did. Our closing was delayed by days and they were able to unload and store all of our belongings in a secure facility until we were finally closed, at which point they dropped everything to make sure we got all of our stuff.
