I've hired plenty of movers -- across town, in-state, and across several states and NEVER have I had movers QUIT the job BEFORE it was done. The reason? It was mid-afternoon and their boss had only allocated so many hours for the job moving from townhouse to townhouse. I was simply told " some of them had made plans." The movers who showed up were polite enough BUT arrived late! They left at 3-something in the afternoon leaving me stranded!
Its a bit rare that we get a review from a 3rd party that was not part of the communication. Its even more rare to encounter people who think other peoples work is free. Its even more rare that given logic, communication, and discounts we still cant connect with someone to please them.
Conducted a move at the end of JUL. Being a 22+ year Army veteran, I've made plenty of moves throughout and have seen it all from excellent to piss-poor. All of the guys at PDS with whom I interacted were nice and courteous. Regards the move itself, I will say 2 main things about this: 1) They have an extra insurance policy you can choose to pay for - MAKE SURE YOU GET IT. 2) Make sure YOU protect all of your items (box, wrap, tape, etc) Make sure they can survive.
Im sorry for the damages.. We came in $400 under the estimate and then we mailed you a check for $400 for those damages....
Despite our agreement, the mover failed to show-up and we had to move ourselves in the rain. Unreliable with a capital U. Called multiple times to ask “where are you, we are waiting “ and they never even answered the phone! Never again. Money refunded due to their breach.

We hired PDS Moving Company for a move a couple hours away, and they did a fantastic job from start to finish. Ian and Cole handled everything with real care and professionalism. They disassembled all of our furniture before loading it up and put it all back together perfectly once we arrived at our new place. They also packed the truck incredibly efficiently, making the best use of every inch of space, which made the long drive worry-free. Beyond their skill, Ian and Cole clearly worked well together.

Two of your associates, Chris and Taylor, loaded and moved my belongings from Hoisington, KS, to Lawrence. Two of your associates, Chris and Ryan, unloaded my belongings in Lawrence at my new address. All went well. All three were very attentive to any instructions I gave them. I marked boxes as to what room items should go to, and I know I missed marking a few boxes (or my packing helpers failed to mark boxes appropriately). All three also made suggestions to help make the move go better, and I appreciated that.
