In their own words
I know this is a long review but trust me you'll want to read the entire thing before using this company. We used this business over a year ago to pack and move our house from Iron Station to Denver, NC. I have been waiting since then for a response concerning the damage done to multiple pieces of furniture as well as items packed and waited to post this review in the hopes they would make good on the issues.
I was originally impressed with how quickly they loaded my pod but now I wish I had watched them load it. Upon the return of my things I found that all my boxes appeared to just be thrown around so much the boxes were crushed. I had multiple broken items, some irreplaceable. Now I have to deal with the aggravation of filing for lost items. I have zero bath towels, and rags and among other things, the glass shelves to my antique curio cabinet are missing.
Scheduled and appointed and was confirmed for estimate, the day of never showed up or called, when i asked was told he didn’t know he had appointment. Not very professional in my book.
Port City's packers did not sufficiently protect a number of items that ended up being damaged in the move. On the actual day of the move, a couple of mirrors that were included on the estimate were left behind at the old address, and a number of items were damaged including my mattress which is now torn. A few boxes that were clearly labeled for specific rooms ended up being placed into the incorrect rooms, which has slowed our unpacking process down significantly.
My mother in law recently moved using this company there employee's were to preoccupied flirting with my wife smelled like weed and damaged the wall as well as damaging some other things they were also unable to move a couch in that me and a friend easily moved in would not recommend this company as there employees are incompetent
I have no words. Bins that were labeled 3 rd floor attic are in my garage.. left for just me to move them up 2 flights. Bed not our back together complete.. left for me .. by myself to lift up a king sleep number to put the cover back over the pieces under the mattress... why didn’t they put that back on?

Be very careful as they underbid and the. When time to pay hit you with a $2,400 increase in the price they gave you. Very sleazy way of business
