The rating breakdown
5 of the 46 ratings in Google’s published star breakdown for U-Pack are one or two star.
Worked out from 46 ratings. That is enough to publish but few enough that one more review moves it noticeably, so read it as a hint rather than a measurement.
Against other listings in Downey
6.7 percentage points higher than the middle of the 11 listings in Downey we can publish a rate for.

In their own words
I would give U-Pack no stars if I could. 30 minutes before our cube delivery, U-Pack called and said they couldn't deliver to our street. They didn't try (their excuse was terrible; trucks come down our street ALL the time), they just looked at Google Maps and decided they couldn't. But we ordered the cube a month out... they looked the day of? Why not tell us WHILE WE'RE ORDERING! To cancel 30 minutes before delivery, 3 days before a cross country move, forcing us to use a competitor (PODS!
My furniture arrived all messed up. I had to get a Uhaul and move my stuff from upack trailer to uhaul truck due to their lack of communication. And of course they declined my claim for damages.
Scheduled a window for the trailer to be dropped off between 8a-12p but was not delivered until 2:30p. When it was loaded and ready to be picked up, I called and was told it had been picked up on a Friday morning but was called back on the following Monday saying it had not been picked up yet.
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
U-Pack’s ReloCube worked well overall for our move from Los Angeles to Raleigh. The cube was sturdy, felt safer/better built than a U-Haul container, and we had no moisture issues in transit. Capacity was impressive for a 1 bed/1 bath worth of furniture (we fit a sleeper sofa, queen bed, desk/chair, multiple shelving units, patio set, plus boxes), but because we packed it to the max we could only use minimal strapping and a few items still got banged up.
Absolutely Incredible Service! From the first call to schedule to delivery. Every step of the way they provided excellent service. On the phone they were professional and courteous. Delivery/Pick up was just as professional and efficient. Will be using them again when moving.
Highly recommend U-pack for moving. We used them for our move from Cincinnati to Los Angeles. They were the most affordable for our move ($2.8k) and they were very responsive. Our things came in just the way we packed them. Only complaint was that they delivered the cube quite late but they called to inform about this and everything went smooth.
Hands down probably one the most affordable/fastest moving companies out there. I was shopping around quite a few companies to move from Los Angeles, California to Miami Florida. Some couldn't do it, while others charge between $5,000-$9,000 for a small studio move. On top of that you have to wait 3-4 weeks for you stuff to get delivered, so you definitely need to plan ahead. Not only was U-pack one of the cheaper ones out there (I paid about $3,000), they got it there in 8 buisness days!
