I have moved a dozen of times across the state, but this is by far the WORST moving company I have ever came across. I booked with Geronimo and everything seemed to be in order, until the day of move came and the crew never showed up. His manager (who was the most normal out of the company) reached out to me saying they can get a crew 3 hours after they were supposed to originally show up. I decided to take his word for it and they still showed up late. The crazy part is it actually gets worse from here.
I felt that this was very over priced for a 1bdrm apt move. It was $1300 before tip and around 7 hours to move a 1bdrm apt to a POD on the same premises. I had a friend that recently moved a 3bdrm house with two different drop off locations (a storage facility and a new home) for $770 with two men and a truck in just a few hours. The men who helped me move were very friendly, but one appeared to be relatively new. I was also able to get movers on the other end of my move for $350.
Bad company! Hired this crapshow a few years ago. Months later, realized boxes missing. The owner, Geronimo, just argued with me when I reached out to him. If you have any issues with your move do really want to just argue with someone or want the person to make it right? Find anyone else.
They were one of the best prices for our move, but a number of the pieces of our furniture sustained some damage. Just beware if you have nice stuff. I don't believe that I could recommend.

After searching Yelp for trustworthy and affordable movers, I reached out to A Couple Great Movers during the first week of January with a last minute need to move all of my belongings out of our storage unit in Elk Grove into our new home in West Sacramento. We had been staying in an extended stay in Natomas for almost 3 months and I had just lost my son on Christmas Day. Geronimo replied almost instantly and before long we had confirmed details for my move the next day.
I can't recommend A Couple Great Movers highly enough! From start to finish, my move was handled with incredible care, professionalism, and attention to detail. Geronimo and his team were not only punctual and friendly, but they treated my belongings as if they were their own. Everything was packed and handled with such cleanliness and care, both before the move and once it was all delivered. There wasn’t a single scratch or scuff on any item—not even on the walls or floors!
These guys were amazing! Great price, great quality, on time and efficient! Everything I was looking for. Mike and Ruff, you guys rocked! Thank you!!
I hate moving. I’ve had cross country moves with major companies and smaller regional companies since I was six years old. I still haven’t recovered from the move where my smurfs, my baby doll and crib AND my family heirlooms went AWOL. Ok, I was 11 but I still haven’t recovered fully. It’s always been the same. Full stop. It’s as if your possessions were thrown into a blender and dumped out, and good luck as you deal with the broken, the missing, and the mess.
