Horrible experience with this company. It was about as unprofessional as it gets and worse yet, I lost at least one box in transit. It all started with the estimate from Adam Trygstad. He came in and said that he overestimated my load by about 1,000 lbs. just to be on the safe side. He then gave me the extra insurance for free. Sounds great, right? The final weight miraculously came in right about at the extra 1,000 lb. mark, so no promised savings were on my final bill. Remember that I mentioned a missing box?
Moved 12/1/2023. International move. The mover showed up like they didn't want to work. I gave the mover option to park next to my door. They decided to park on the other side of the building and work as slowly as possible. *they later moved closer to load up the bigger items They unpacked and repackaged 3 of my boxes and put them in bigger boxes (to only charge me later for supplies) Instead of taking my big furniture as is, they boxed everything (again, charging me for supplies used) Advice: 1) Don't let them…

Their estimate was $5417 but they charged $7726. They sent someone to our house to do the estimate, we showed them everything we were moving, and they gave us this estimate. Then, after they had taken everything they sent us the bill for over $2000 more than they had estimated. I would understand if it were a small difference, but going over their own estimate by almost 50% is completely unreasonable. Other than the charges, everyone who worked for them did a good job and our boxes arrived on time and undamaged.

The packing experience was fine, credit where credit is due. The coordination for the packing was sub par and the company blamed me for poor communication despite switching from decent email communication to them making a single (unanswered) call and then proceeding to show up unannounced. It seems the movers themselves and the company lack good communication and coordination. Customer service was apathetic and a bit condescending.

Hired Action Moving to pack and transport our home in-state. Wow! Several items were left behind that loaders were specifically told to bring along. Both driver and salesperson blew it off like it was nothing to be concerned about. Now we have to hire someone with a trailer to haul the rest of our move. Another several hundred dollars expense. Final bill was nearly $1000 over bid. All driver said was “well it was over the estimated weight ”.

First, I want to start by saying I never write reviews. I very rarely have time and I've never been that disappointed where I felt it was worth the time spent to write a review. However, this is different. This was the first time my husband and I have ever hired a moving company to assist in a move from home to home. We got countless bids and while Atlas didn't come in the cheapest, we felt they were a trusted company based on the estimator that came out to our home.

Worst move ever. Of all the items moved, very few were nice living room and bedroom furniture but every item was scratched most in multiple places. They didn't wrap anything and from the looks of it didn't even use blankets. What a mess. We were devastated when we finally noticed what happened. They sent their expert out who said most of those scratches were already there and the movers didn't do those. Their expert was wrong because we bought all that furniture new and it had never been scratched before.

Action Moving Service is a great service from the first phone call to the actual move. Extremely professional and knowledgeable about the amount of time needed to complete the service. We had a short distance move, but the move was going to take part over two days because of closing dates on the houses. We checked around at a few moving companies and decided to go with Action Moving Services. Adam came out did the price quote and was awesome. He answered all of our questions and was upfront about everything. The movers came out on moving day. Wish I could recall their names, but the guys were awesome to work with.
