In their own words
I asked the movers specifically to move 5 heavy objects. I was ignored. They came out another day and said they would move them but they would charge to move things they were asked to do from the beginning! I gave them bubble wrap for a mirrored nightstand but again they ignored me . My brother stopped by and his truck was used to move room sized rugs! They left furniture on the porches of both houses that we had to bring in. There were two witnesses to them smoking pot in the truck.
Spoke too soon, so I deleted my previous review. My cheap dressers and nightstands were wrapped nice and tight. Any nice solid wood items were not wrapped at all. Hope chest broken, short wide standing shelves destroyed, end tables scuffed through the stain, dresser corner broken off.
Can I make this right?
Not very pleased! The movers showed up with only 2 people for a 4BR move. They didnt have their tools and took much longer than original quote. They were nice and polite though. I still have so many things to get from the old house, enough for another uhaul truck load. I dont recommend.
First, we had to call them as they were an hour late. Next, they brought one small trailer despite arranging this move one month prior and full knowing we had 4000 sq ft to move. Finally, we had to leave the house to be at an event so, we …
They damaged kitchen pantry on the move out and also the door on my stainless refrigerator. A bunch of young inexperienced guys. Made comments that they thought no one heard but they were mistaken. 🤡

The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

Chris' team was awesome! Harvey and the Browns brothers were on-time, professional and quick. Loved the communication prior to arrival and the responsiveness. We are military and appreciated the last minute assist when our original movers could not get on base. This trio was again, amazing! Strongly consider this company if you need any 28ft trailer loaded/unloaded.
I have used Active Movers 3 times in the last several months. They were reasonably priced. On time. Courteous. And exacting and careful in handling our furniture and boxes. Thank you again for your work!!
Chris and his team are GREAT at communication and he offers a fair price. Larry and his moving partner did a great job helping with all of my furniture!
(I apologize in advance, I am horrible with names!) I called Chris in a panic yesterday because my husband hurt his back in the middle of our move. He quoted me a price and even gave me a discount, though it was so last minute. The guys were there within an hour and they really worked their butts off! They were friendly, polite, fast, and they treated all our belongings with care. They even rearranged the things we already had in the uhaul so things would fit better.
