Gave 2 stars only because the initial movers loading the truck were professional. Otherwise, I’ve copied my experience with this company below. We contacted customer service last week and are still waiting on a response. I am reaching out to notify you of issues with my move that was picked up on 5/9 and delivered on 5/12. During the pickup, the movers Manny and Eric did a great job packing the truck.
My experience with Adam’s Van Lines was one of the most stressful parts of my cross-country move, and I would strongly advise others to stay away at all costs. The problems started with the initial estimate. I picked the white glove service that packs and unpacks everything. Their sales team significantly underestimated the size of my move. Fortunately, I had another moving company send an in-home estimator, who estimated nearly 700 additional cubic feet compared to Adam’s quote.
Lost items, wet boxes, broken items, wrong quote by 1/3 of truck size!!, and one of their delivery personnel used my bathroom and took 3 of my son's perfumes. I called the customer service to report missing items. They hang up on me and no one answered any of my calles after that. They will run after you to sign on 60cents per pound for broken items . I refused to by all means. And now no one is answering my calles for missing items.
Unprofessional company their employees seem to get very upset when you refuse to speak with them so they text you rude messages
As someone that has been used professional movers 8 times in my career I feel I have a pretty good basis of comparison. Overall initial impression was great as team member setting up my move was very helpful and attentive. That all fell flat on its face the minute I paid my deposit. Communication was extremely spotty until the actual moving carrier decided we needed more space. Then they were calling every 5 minutes to figure out how much more to charge and collect some more money.
Avoid this company at all costs. They are not a legitimate moving company—they are simply out to take your money. There was no proper follow-up, and the salesperson made promises and gave an unrealistically low quote just to secure the deal. Once the process started, they found multiple ways to charge extra at every step. It felt like a calculated money grab. I strongly recommend finding a reputable mover who will review your belongings over a video call to provide an accurate quote upfront.
They’re a brokerage company. You never talk to the same person twice. Terrible company. I ended up paying double what they originally offered and the company they passed us off to broke half our furniture. Save yourselves in the long run. Go elsewhere.
Do not chose this company for any kind of moving service they will overcharge you! When I was looking to have to do a quick move from Massachusetts to Missouri this company seemed to give me a great deal on the price of the move little did …

This is my second time using Adam Van Lines and they were just as good as the first time! Every representative I spoke with during the entire process was very night and considerate.
