In their own words
STAY AWAY — My experience with Alder Moving Service was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The movers were scheduled for 8:00 AM. At approximately 7:30 AM, one called and said they would not arrive until noon because they had worked the previous night until 3:30 AM and needed more sleep. They arrived four hours late. I received no call or apology from the owner, Jayson Berger. When they arrived, the movers said they were exhausted.
Janice, we value all of our customers, the new as well as the ones we moved before. It seems you forget we are all human. We were not there first thing in the morning. Moving can get rough occasionally, and the guys and our one gal needed to get some rest before doing it all over again.
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
The guys arrived on time and were very polite. They were very fast and efficient. They were very respectful, not just with me, but with each other as well. Even their choice of music to listen to while working was clean and non-offensive. They were very careful and protective of my belongings. I will ALWAYS use Alder for our moving needs!
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was our pleasure assisting you with your move.
When my brother-in-law needed to move, he asked my husband for help, but both brothers are over 70 with bad backs and knees, so after reading reviews, and after contacting someone on the search of "Moving companies in Ft. Bragg" only to find out they were actually a broker in Florida... I reached out to Alder Moving. Hallie was helpful and empathetic, and Jayson kept us informed of the move throughout the process. They took boxes and gave us estimates, and then were flexible when the closing date was changed.

The staff was extremely helpful They were exceptionally careful with our items They moved quickly and methodically allowing us to unpack with ease The rate we were charged made it a no brainer to allow the professionals to do the heavy lifting and it allowed for our first day in our new home to be stress free Moving is stressful enough let alone unloading heavy items. Hiring Alder Moving Service really made for a stress free experience in our new home.
Thank you Ashley and Eric, it was a pleasure helping you guys. Welcome back to sunny CA.
