Avoid this company at all costs! They quoted me one price upfront based on the number of items, and I was assured that this was final since they had already viewed and assessed my home. But when the movers arrived, suddenly the price changed—now it was based on cubic feet and time, which added hundreds more in costs. They claimed it was “a favor,” but I was pressured to pay cash directly to each mover.

Worst moving company ever!! Completely ripped us off. A binding quote was $3200. They show up in. 40’ truck. I told them no way our stuff would fit in there & they insisted it would. Never told us size of truck. So we were not out of our sold house the day we were supposed to be. They show up the following day in a rented Budget Truck. Another 40’ truck. We had expected a semi from the very beginning. The moving guys said the price would now be $8800. I told them we could not afford that.

Absolutely one of the most regrettable hires I have ever made. I was quoted $1,100 for a short local move but upon completion it jumped to $1,620. Cary told me that the was the price ($1,100) and there would be no surprises. Cary also told me that local moves are billed hourly at $195 per hour. The estimate was based on a 4 hour move ($195 x 4 = $780); travel charge of $195; fuel charge of $ 100; and stair charge of $150. I was given a $125 discount.

Unfortunately, like others have posted here I had a bad experience with Americas Movers. I paid Americas Movers August of 2019 to move my 2 bedroom apartment. I told the movers that I would move my own TV's as I didn't get boxes for them and preferred to move them carefully myself later. However when the driver arrived he said they could box it up for $70 to which I said "no" and I'd take them myself. He persisted to say they would move them and box them for free as long as I took care of them (give them a tip).

This is not a great moving company and the experience my wife and I have had has probably been the worst. Being in the military I've moved around alot. This company hires other companies to move your things instead of doing it themselves so they're essentially a middle man. I would never recommend this company for moving because the person on the phone promises one thing but when the movers get there it's another. On top of paying $400 for their proper packaging things still arrived broken.

Nightmare Moving Company - Ruined My Piano, Missing Items, and Financial Fraud! Do not hire this company unless you want your expensive items destroyed and your wallet scammed.Here are the shocking facts of my move: -Severe Property Damage: Due to their gross negligence, the entire front panel of my piano was violently broken and detached, and all three pedals were snapped off. They also cracked the electronic screens on our electric scooter.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. I chose americas movers because of their positive reviews and reasonable pricing. I was fooled. First of all, their moving cost estimate was based on a video tour of our home. However, when the movers came and loaded their truck, the cost of the move DOUBLED!!! And that is despite the fact that we gave away or sold multiple items that we originally planned to move.
