AVOID Beefcake movers at all costs! They are extremely dishonest and hard to communicate with, and they will find any way to nickel and dime you. Just take a look at all their negative reviews they have on Yelp, including my review. It took me 7 weeks total (including storage time) to finally get my things moved! Beefcake is also the only moving company I've ever used that refused to schedule a delivery date with me.
Here is my experience with Beefcake on a long-distance move from CA to MI: 1. When they arrived the day of the move to load the truck, they informed me that I needed to pay 20% before they would do anything. I admit that I added three rugs and a washer/dryer to a 6 bedroom - 7,000 sq ft house move, and according to them this increased the price 20%. However, at this point I had no choice, so I paid it. 2. They started loading the truck on July 22nd and unloading on August 19th.

I called them for a quote to pickup a dresser, a futon and a small sofa and they wanted almost $800 they don’t even have to lift a finger. It’s sad to see people and companies price gouging people and with being affected by these wildfires this is just another bad ride to be on. I would never charge someone that much money for 3 items they don’t even have to lift and it’s in the same area picking up and dropping off! Don’t use this company!! Rip off

My bet is the positive reviews are fake. These people tripled the charges when they arrived to pick up the load, knowing there was nothing we could do but pay it. .. As for your reply, that is a lie, and you know it. It was a basic 1 bedroom set of furniture. Five years is not enough to reduce my anger on being cheated.

Just called. Girl couldn't hear, maybe because she talked so loud and wasn't listening. Said they were all booked up before I even gave her a date. She quoted me $120/hr, 5 hour minimum to have helpers come and load a one bedroom apartment. Huh?

I recently used this moving company for a last-minute local move, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. They were professional, punctual, careful with every item, and made what is always a stressful process feel smooth and organized. Nothing was rushed, communication was clear, and they treated my belongings like they were their own.
I cannot say enough great things about Beefcake Moving and Storage! They packed my entire 4-bedroom, 4-bath home plus garage in just three days—and the level of care and professionalism was outstanding. With just under 500 boxes for a 1500 mile interstate move (including many fragile items), I was honestly nervous—but they used high-quality heavy duty boxes, bubble wrap and paper packing techniques, and not a single item was broken during the move. That alone speaks volumes.
I moved from CA to TN and hired Beefcake Moving and Storage to move my stuff across the country. I worked with Gabbie and she is fantastic! She’s always available, responsive and communicative, and transparent and honest when it comes to pricing. Moving is a stressful process and the way she conducts business put me at ease and gained my trust. The guys who loaded and unloaded my stuff were very efficient and careful with stuff.
Beefcake! Beefcake! Amazing from start to finish. Beefcake is a great family owned company that actually cares. The price was honest, and there were no surprise fees. Shawn and his crew were friendly, professional, and took great care of all my stuff. Not my walls nor my items were damaged. By the end of the move, Gabbie felt more like a friend than my sales rep. She even invited me skydiving 😂 That’s how comfortable and easy the whole experience was.
