NO STARS!!!! I only put 1 star because it wouldn't let me post unless I did. I don't even know where to begin, other than, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! They are absolutely the worst!! I have been move 3 other times in my life professionally, by United, Mayflower, and North American. Each time the move was seamless and professional. So, I am speaking from experience. We were moving from CA to WA. We paid to have all our things packed "professionally".
Hello Garth, We’re very sorry to hear about your recent long-distance move experience. At Berger Moving & Storage, we pride ourselves on delivering a professional, reliable, and respectful moving experience, and we regret that we missed the mark for you.
This place is a joke for semi truck and trailer with sleeper on it. You will regret if you think you can park on the street because all cars who works on this commercial facility will be parking on the streets completely and if you have appointment, that don’t mean anything here because you still got to wait for their only 2 docks working out of 4 docks they have in total. In addition, they won’t help you to back here in the dock. This facility it suitable for day cab only, not for sleeper cab.
This was by far the worst experience I’ve EVER encountered with a service company. They are hired by ARHAUS furniture to deliver their products. I tried calling over 8 times to change the delivery date. I got VM each time with no returned call ever over a 3 week period. I finally got through to a live person she confirmed the date I wanted. Then they never called 24 hours ahead (as they said they would) to give me a window time for the delivery. So I called the morning of the delivery and I again got VM.
This is an absolutely horrendous moving company. I had my home goods transported from southern Ohio to southern California. They spilled motor oil all over my couch, broke my kitchen table, damaged a computer desk and bookshelf, dented the dryer, and broke my bed frame in half. Three months after the claim form was submitted, I have been reimbursed $0 and been connected with a flakey Russian repairman who barely speaks English and has cancelled appointments ( that absolutely must be in the middle of the work day )…
Hello Andrew, I am sorry that the experience has been so frusterating. Our intention is to provide the best possible service on every move, and it is unfortunate we could not meet that level. We hope you give us the chance to make it right.
Very disappointed in Berger Allied. I used Allied when I moved cross-country in 2005 and was hoping to use them again for another long distance move in 2018. Nicole in the office was extremely helpful and noted my specific move dates - my move is 6 months out, so I was told the dates shouldn't be an issue. When I was contacted by the move coordinator, he called 20 minutes before our scheduled call and left a voicemail saying he would only be available for the next 30-45 minutes because he was going to an event…
Leaving negative reviews is not something I enjoy and I try to avoid doing so, but this company unprofessionalism needs to be addressed. Six months ago we contacted this company to help us move from the west coast to the east coast when my husband was offered a new position. The new company took care of the moving costs and we assumed that this chapter was closed. Not by a long shot!
This was the worst delivery experience I’ve ever had. On day of delivery I had to call and then they tell me they actually don’t have the item there to deliver. They don’t answer and don’t return my call to reschedule. Months go by no word from them. I had to let store know I didn’t receive shipment. Then they scheduled me but this time didn’t give me a time window like they said until I called and asked for it. The online tracking didn’t work and said it had already been delivered. The guy texts me that morning.
When the item was finally delivered, it was done in 5-star fashion. But there were so many problems scheduling delivery! At first they proposed to deliver during my vacation and I requested they reschedule. Then they called me on vacation saying they were 20 minutes away, and I again requested they reschedule. Then there was nearly a month while they were almost completely unresponsive…never returning calls or e-mails. A few times I actually talked to a person who said they no longer had the item.

The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

The kind movers were on time, efficient, professional, and careful with our home. What more can one ask of a moving company?
Such a great experience with this company! We recently moved in to our new house about a year ago and have received many furniture pieces and have worked with different companies, but this was one of the better experiences. The two guys who helped deliver and move our sideboard into our house were extremely professional and personable. They were so careful with the unboxing, all the while checking every corner for any damages.
Moving is never fun, but we used Allied and our move was basically hassel free. The problem we had was our home is on a hill with a windy road therefore the moving company had to transfer our home to a smaller truck & that truck couldn't get to our home either. It didn't help that we moved in December, but the driver & his helper were very good.
I recently had the pleasure of using Berger Allied Moving & Storage for a delivery, and I can't say enough about the exceptional service I received! From start to finish, their attention to detail was impressive. The delivery team arrived on time, wearing booties and white gloves, which immediately set a high standard for cleanliness and care. What really blew me away was how they went above and beyond to ensure that every piece of furniture was not only in perfect condition but also photo-ready.
