Golden Eagle Moving - United Van Lines agent

United van lines/ Golden eagle Upland CA. I moved from San Bernardino CA,. to Ga. 1/2 of my furniture was scratched, or broken and disassembled. It all went to storage. When I was ready to pull my items out they were damaged. I sent enough pictures to them but they denied my claim cause some of the items were pulled out of storage. How can pictures be taken in the dark with your cell phone! They also sent my patio cushions to ??They finally found them and shipped them UPS. They are friendly but not honest.

Golden Eagle was recommended by several people. Mike Burnett came out and insured us that they were the most professional and others would contract with different people when they dropped off the load. He sold us on the fact that we would have the same people unload as loaded. This was only partially true. the driver was the only real person that handled it from start to finish... and he had no clue how things were taken apart.

Steve and his team were great and did a good job on the move. They were always on time and friendly. The reason for the two stars is how bad the estimator was. The final bill came in 42% higher than the original estimate. Ironically, the moving team told me that would happen. It seems to be the common business practice for this company. Classic "Bait and Switch".

Completely unprofessional company. They have some crew members and administrative staff that are great. The other half are poor and will offer you inaccurate information. Do not move forward with this company if you are looking for overall quality services. As a repeat customer I was hoping for a better result - out of 3 times using this company I have only been fully satisfied once. I will never use this company again. I would give half of a star if possible.

Price was decent for the move we made from California to Washington State, things seemed fine at first. But come time to move - the movers who showed up were very slow and not very careful with our belongings. We had full value protection on our move but had packed most of our items ourselves to save money. Unfortunately the info they give you does not tell you that the full value coverage does not cover items that you pack yourselves.

I am so disappointed with the poor communication of this company. Because this company is contracted with my new employer in California I was hoping to work with them as I assumed this would ensure a professional experience. First, I had a moving consultation on May 20th for which the representative was an hour late (he had the time zones mixed up). That happens, I understand.

They stole from me. They had to keep 1/2 my things overnight since my community wouldn't allow them to come in after dark. I am sick to my stomach. My 1st move with them was awesome! The 2nd - where my personal property was kept at their facility (apparently unlocked) resulted in theft and heartbreak. I didn't notice for some time, since I lived alone and had to pack up 3341 sqft of stuff and move and unpack alone. I will never use them again - and, I hope you're smart enough not to, either.

The staff was nice and helpful, but they trashed our boxes and broke nearly anything remotely fragile. They took no care to move boxes gently even when they were clearly labeled "fragile." The boxes were clearly crushed when they arrived, and even things that are fairly sturdy were broken upon arrival. We have moved multiple times, packed the same way and never encountered so much broken stuff as we did with these "professional" movers. Will never use them again.
