TLDR- Screens phone calls, no call/no show. Military move- I was excited to see that we had been given Benkins and their great reviews for our move from San Diego to NJ. Here's a snapshot of our experience: -Two weeks before our move, they call and asks if they can pack and load on the same day as our load date, which was the last day of our lease. I tell her no. Please pack at least one day in advance before loading, in accordance with the government contractor.
I used Bekin's El Cajon to move from San Diego to VA. I had my stuff put into a storage unit. After moving my belongings out of the storage unit, BMS lost more than 30% of my belongings. All my kitchen items including stoneware sets, glassware, crystal, pots, pans, utensils, placemats, knives, etc. are missing. Living room end tables and lamps missing. Most of my clothes were lost along with one of a kind Christmas decor that I have had since I was 5 years old.

This company is absolutely horrible. My stuff was supposed to be delivered over a month ago, and now it’s been 2 months with nothing. I still don’t have my furniture, and they won’t give me any updates at all. The only thing they’ve told me is that they “found mold” on 5 of my items, which means my belongings have been sitting in some damp, nasty place this whole time. On top of that, we have a 1-year-old who hasn’t had any of the things he needs because of this.
Military couple that moved from Japan to San Diego. Items were missing. They lost all of the parts that I needed to put my furniture, beds, desk, stands, and plugs to my TVs. I had to pay for new items for my family. Also, movers hit my front door, causing damage. Please see pic below with a dolly trying to open the door. Being lazy and careless, they also left their tools at the house and haven't picked them up. I'm having a hard time getting in contact with them to repair the damage.
I don’t normally leave reviews unless I had EXCEPTIONALLY bad service. Not only were they unresponsive, not only did they not come the 2 days we were told, not only were they HOURS late to pack our stuff at the end of June, but by the end our rental house smelled like cigarette smoke from their incessant smoking, we received our crates in such disarray that even the packers who unloaded our stuff at our new location noted how awfully packed our crates were.
Such a terrible experience. So much to complain about. First initial sales call was pleasant. Their sales rep was nice and seemed to be responsive to our needs. But when the project started rolling everything fell apart. First we paid extra …

They did a great job. The guys were easy to work with and quick about the job. Nothing arrived broken and they set up everything beautifully. We especially liked the free bins they gave us to pack out stuff. We picked up 20 bins 10 days before the move date and we have 10 days after the move date to return them.
