I would not trust with my belongings in an emergency evacuation- meaning under any circumstances. Cals moving is not in any way associated with Sunset Mini and RV Storage- We have had several of his very furious customers come to our office because they could not get ahold hold of him or his company and kept getting the run around brush off, so them thinking we were his business because he put our picture on his website fraudulently.
Thank you for your review. We’d like to clarify that Cal’s Moving & Storage in Beaverton is in no way affiliated with Sunset Mini and RV Storage, and we take issue with the serious claims made in this review. While we respect everyone’s … More
Got stood up on the moving day. Tried frantically calling their office and nobody answered, left several voicemails and emails. Got a response a day later and the Cals was able to get the moving scheduled. Me and my wife had to take time off from work, extend the lease by another day and reschedule some delivery appointments at my new location due to this. We have a one year old, and it was an extremely incontinent 24 Hrs.
We’re very sorry this all happened. To be honest, we did not prep our movers well enough before the managers and I left for an end of the year over nighter with the company managers. We felt really bad when we got back and found out what had happened! We will make sure to never let this happen again
The movers where nice and respectful However they didn’t put things where I wanted. As opposed to original bid they ended up having to do two trips which cost me an additional amount. They also left stuff on the truck that they had to come back two or three days later and bring to us.
Craig, thank you for taking the time to share this, and I'm sorry your move didn't go the way it should have. I'm genuinely glad the crew was kind and respectful, but needing a second trip beyond the original bid — and the added cost that came with it — isn't what we quote you for, and having items…
One of Cal's trucks side swipped my parked car. Cal wanted to directly cover the cost of the repairs. He ok'd the repair cost, the date AND told me he took care of it with the repair shop. CAL DID NOT TAKE CARE OF ANYTHING. He told told the …
Thank you for leaving us a review. The car damage was paid for. I'm sorry it wasn't paid perfectly on time. We were short on funds. Thank you for allowing us to not pass it through insurance and pay the damage in cash. Best wishes.
Haven't worked with them or used them, but had to interact with one of their moving crews. My partner had a situation in the Sylvan neighborhood on 03/11/24. The truck was in the middle of the road-- no triangles laid out or no workers …
Thank you for the feedback. We’ll make this a point at our next monthly meeting. Best wishes, glad your partner made it home safe.
Half of my house things didnt fit due to lack of vertical space especially in the back side of the storage unit costing me thousands in losses.
Hey James. Thank you for the review. We appreciate the feedback and will work to better the experience. I spoke with your crew that was on site. I would like to remind you and everyone that reads this message. We are an hourly service and … More

Had a great experience and would recommend Cal’s to my friends and family. They took the time to come out and look at everything and give us a detailed quote so we were confident on the pricing and then it ended up being less in the end because they didn’t take as long as they estimated. Our movers showed up on time and were very professional and efficient. My mom was downsizing so it was a bit chaotic with some stuff staying and some going and they did an excellent job navigating some tight spaces.
Thank you, Kelly! We're so glad the in-home walkthrough gave you confidence in the pricing — and that the final bill came in even lower when the crew finished ahead of estimate. Helping your mom downsize through tight spaces and getting … More
I’ve moved 5 times (interstate) in the past 7 years and Cal’s Moving & Storage is the best company I’ve worked with. Justin, Anthony, Iain and Kraig were thoughtful, kind, hardworking, proactive, responsive and down to earth. These guys go above and beyond. Grateful I had the opportunity to work with them to pack, load and transport. They took great care of me and I’d highly recommend them to others looking for a positive team, excellent customer service, and fair pricing.
Dandelion, thank you for such a generous review — and for trusting us after five interstate moves in seven years, that really means something! Justin, Anthony, Iain, and Kraig will be so glad to hear their hard work, care, and down-to-earth … More
The movers were extremely professional, careful and efficient. Knocked our job out with no problems. It's good to have finally found a moving company located in the Salem area that I know I can turn to for any moving jobs upcoming, so that I don't have to hire a Portland company and have to pay for their drive down here.
Thank you, Jamie! Knocking your job out with no problems is exactly the goal, and we're glad the crew's care and efficiency showed from start to finish. It means a lot to be the local moving company you can count on right here in the Salem … More
What an amazing experience! Justin and Tony showed up on time and ready to work with smiles on. These guys after 5 hours still held their smiles and positive attitudes and were extremely friendly. Thank you all so much for everything, and I highly recommend Cal's for your moving needs!
Thank you, James! Five hours in and still smiling — Justin and Tony will get a kick out of hearing that, and we'll make sure they do. Showing up on time, ready to work, and staying friendly all day long is exactly what our Beaverton movers aim for. We really appreciate the recommendation.
