In their own words
We initially had chosen Cal’s for loading into a truck for an interstate (1 state over) move, despite it being more expensive than others, due to the good Google reviews that we saw online. They came out to do an estimate and they contacted us prior to the day of packing to check and see what would be needed the day of loading. We asked them specifically if they will have all the tools to disassemble furniture and they confirmed they would, and that we would not need any tools on the day of loading.
Rensa, thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we're truly sorry to hear that your move did not go as expected. The concerns you've described — tools not being brought as confirmed, items being improperly protected, and … More
Didn’t acknowledge the equipment needed for heavy moves. Charge extra for heavy moves. Also damaged a high value floor. 2 stars for being respectful.
Hey Timothy - We are sorry to have arrived unprepared for your move. It is never our intention to be unprepared and create damage. I'm glad the crew was respectful during the process. We will work as a team to not do the move if we show up unprepared.
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

The moving team was on time, careful with my belongings and mindful of all the things around them to ensure nothing was damaged during the move. Very, very professional and efficient.

Great crew and fair price. Would hire again and recommend to anyone looking for an easy moving experience.
Thank you!
I was extremely satisfied with the three employees that came over to help me move. Very efficient, nothing was damaged and once we all arrived at to my new house they unloaded everything to my desired location. I was quoted at one price but I did so much packing and moving on my own that when the workers actually showed up they were super surprised because it was just the big stuff left so instead of it taking 6 hours like i had been quoted we finished in under two and it made the workers really happy and my…

I had a wonderful experience with Cal's. I had to reschedule twice on short notice and it was no hassle, no problem. I was offered assistance with packing, which we didn't need. On the day of the move, the team was early and let me know in plenty of time. The move itself went very smoothly. I will definitely be calling on Cal's Moving again.
