Awful staff. The facility itself is nice, but the people are rude. Unless you only show up after business hours, avoid this place.
Unable to contact them multiple times via phone and email during office hours to settle a nonpayment issue which fell through even though autopay was set up and sufficient funds in bank account, very long communication turnaround times, when finally able to get through there is a general Lack of accountability of their employees and management when requested to hold off on auction as payment is being wired through.

Wish I could give zero stars on this one. Terrible customer service, they are impossible to work with with it comes to updating your billing information. They are also incredibly overpriced. They are hands down one of the worst companies I’ve ever done business with in terms of working with their customers and customer service. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time with this place.

As of January 2018 they are no longer accessible 24/7 which is why I was paying more than the competition for a unit here. Arrived before 8pm but was still locked out of the gate, their time must be off by several minutes. They also did not decreases the price when the hours changed and were generally unresponsive to communication. I'm glad I'm pulling my boxes this weekend.

1/5. Worst customer service ever. PLEASE hire someone else and I might come back. For now, Crystal Lake storage has my business. Plus $200+ for a 10x20? Pfft. Other places will quote you $150 or less. The place itself is clean and the units are nice but the management needs replacing asap

I came here after going to a few other local places that had all left me feeling uneasy about the security of my belongings. However, once I got to Storage Depot all of my fears surrounding storing my property melted away like butter on a hot summer sidewalk. Candice and Chad, the couple who run the place and keep a close eye on the property, are an amazing duo who are the kindest and most good hearted people you could imagine.

We have used The Storage Depot for four years to store our college students' things over the summer and will happily use them for two more until our youngest graduates. They make the process of renting, checking in, and checking out EXTREMELY easy. Their prices are reasonable and the facilities squeaky clean. We feel lucky to have found a reliable option to securely store our things and to have connected with the wonderful people who run the place.

They were sensitive to my needs of temperature control and pest control and moisture control. They even found me a unit that was close to a doorway for my extra ease. I never had to worry about my precious items becoming damaged. I feel very grateful to have found them and I was relieved that the fees were within my budget.
