We got an estimate for $650 they ended up charging over $1000 and damaged multiple items. They took very long to pack the truck and I really don't think they were trying to be quick nor efficient. Update: they asked me to call them on their response to my review (which they have since deleted). So I called, the owner (I think, idk who he was and don't care) was extremely rude and also lied and said he overheard the whole conversation between my bf and the guy who booked us, he said my bf said we had more stuff…
I am sorry for your troubles. I would be happy to look into your claims of dissatisfaction. We do not have any one on our calendar that has the initials M.F. or anyone who received an estimate for $650. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you.
We hired Charles River Movers to move a piano because they assured me they were experienced moving pianos and had insurance in case of damage. Damage occurred, including a large crack in the piano fallboard, during the move resulting in over $600 worth of damage. The repair person said that type of damage is a result in incorrectly strapping the fallboard during the move. Charles Rivers Movers has not responded to my request for payment.

DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!... I strongly advise against hiring this guys. I regret not taking the negative reviews more seriously. The level of unprofessionalism was beyond what I could have imagined. The movers were inexperienced and careless. They broke an antique lamp and failed to report the damage.They did not take any responsibility for this issue. On top of that, they scratched my glass coffee table and I had to push for them to take responsibility.
I would not recommend this mover. They are not what I expected. They are just guys and a truck, not professional movers. The movers themselves were nice, but inexperienced and ended up doing damage to a few pieces of our furniture and hit the walls a few times. They didn’t use basic moving equipment like straps, etc. They spent way too much time wrapping our stuff in plastic and organizing the truck. What was supposed to be a 2 hour job took twice that.
You were quoted 4 hours. Your bill was for 3.75 hours. We used moving blankets plastic wrap and dollies to load the truck. Your Girl friend M.F. also left a 1 star review. We told you it was a 2 hour minimum but the job would take about 4 hours.
This company had t-shirts on but showed up in Ryder truck moving first fl out of state. At the time this was going on I was sleeping didn't know any of this was happening. The tailgate is practical on my hood and they left it like as shown in picture from my house camera, until I woke up. This is unacceptable!
The men who did the actual moving were very nice. However, they lost one of our boxes and also tried to deliver some one else's furniture to us. The response to these mistakes was to not return my calls and I have not been reimbursed for the items they lost. I would not recommend them.

These guys were great. I was priced at $200 for two hours with a two man crew working on a two-bedroom move out. The next day they showed upright on time with a three man crew for no additional cost. They were fast and easy to work with. The move itself was very straightforward. Unfortunately, my work/gaming monitor was damaged during the move, but they were kind enough to let me replace it with a a screen they had of their own for no charge.
My daughter used this company yesterday for her move from an apartment and storage to a house in Waltham. The service exceeded her expectations. The movers showed up timely, they were professional, efficient, and completed the job in the expected time frame. Highly recommend!
I am utterly impressed. The team arrived early, finished moving two full rooms of my appartment in maybe 9 min with three guys (they even wrapped the furniture in that time!) …
My table was damaged when it was moved. Eric took responsibility and had it refinished by a pro. I actually like it better now. Eric is a honorable man who represents his company well. Thanks
