I cannot stress this enough: do not trust Mayflower / Chipman with your belongings. I hired them with the expectation that my items—especially rare, irreplaceable artwork—would be handled with care and professionalism. What I experienced was the complete opposite. Among the lost items were: A box containing five pieces of valuable artwork, including an original piece from New Orleans the artist later became quit famous and the 3 piece set originally cost me $1,500 A rare 1 st edition “Crazy for Cult” framed print…

We recently used United Van Lines and Chipman Relocations for a long-distance move, full house including full packing services, from California to Texas. It went great! The final costs matched the initial estimate well so no surprises in billing. The packing crew was super efficient, careful, and did a great job. Scheduling went well too. A few days before packing day, they actually called to see if they could come a couple days early, which they did, then arrived on time for packing and pickup.

I am a Professional Organizer and Move Manager, who works primarily in San Francisco. Recently, I had the opportunity to assist my cousin with her move out of Southern California. She gave me two bids that she had received from local movers, I reviewed them, and reached out to the representatives. The only representative who contacted me back was Bryan at Chipman. After finding about United van lines on Reddit for a long distance, almost cross-country, move, I filled a form on their website. I was contacted by Bryan Hahn, who works for Chipman-United Van lines. I felt assured that a local company is working with me on quotes and providing every single details of the move. Bryan was extremely patient and diligent on giving various quotes as I requested. He also referred an auto transport company for my car move. They were excellent too.

After initially calling Mayflower, Chipman Relocation contacted me for our move from Costa Mesa, CA to Mansfield, OH. Bryan conducted our virtual survey and we worked with Rebecca as well. Both terrific professionals who dotted the I's and crossed the T's. The real player we personally worked with was Izaak and his teams at both locations. Professional and courteous with no dilly dally! They took great care packing our possessions and kept us informed of the entire evolution.
